I don't think so, watched that fight several times since it's my favorite of all time, and while Duran beat the crap out of Leonard during the first half of the fight(hurt him several times, funny because the commentators freaked out every time), Leonard started making the rounds a lot closer during the second half of the fight and won plenty of them.

The fight was close when it finished so I don't understand when people say Leonard made Duran quit. I don't think Duran was mentally up to fighting for whatever reason. We sore they fight when they were both at there best and we know who won. Duran > Leonard
