    Pointless fight.
If froch beats Chaves jr , no one gives him credit for beating a guy who lost to Vera , has a poor diet and smokes weed during camps

If he loses...then he has to deal with the humiliation if losing to a guy who has his training camps in the living room of his house

At least Chavez Jr is a Vegas fight and brings money to the table.

Who should he fight? Chavez Jr. It's the most lucrative fight out there for him so I understand why he wants that one. It's also in Vegas and will be a great event.

Hopkins is pointless on every single level. It brings no prestige to beat a 50 year old man who just got his arse handed to him in his last fight. It brings no money either. He might as well fight DeGale if he's going to fight someone in the UK.
Yes of course Andre would be the one but...
I don't begrudge Carl his swansong with Chavez in Vegas he deserves it,I just wish it could be some one else as I simply don't rate ole pot head at that level...Being a young man from Nottingham ,when Froch was talking B-Hop and of how great it would be at the city ground I was sold ,not to be I see, over and out Dirk.

He might as well fight DeGale if he's going to fight at the City Ground. Would probably bring a higher purse and it would be a better fight. More credit for the victory to knock off a young fighter who has been on top form than a pensioner who almost got killed in his last fight.

The only reason people want Chavez for Froch is to see Froch put a pounding on Chavez. Only to hope for Chavez to pull a miracle warrior moment to beat Froch, which is unlikely.

Froch doubts himself beating Hopkins, he's afraid of being schooled by an old man.

              Do people really believe that?

He obviously put it out there to gauge reaction which was overwhelmingly negative and he came to his senses. If he was really afraid, why would he even suggest it?

You've got to be genuinely brain dead to think Froch is ducking Hopkins.

Who in their right mind even wants to see that fight?

Hopkins is likely suffering from severe stress and hasn't gotten over the fact he was ****d not too long ago and almost killed during that attack.

Really? So the performance of the year by Kovalev was somehow irrelevant? I don't think so.

Froch likes a tear up, I can't imagine him seriously being interested in his last fight being a stink fest against Hopkins. He wants to do a number on somebody, not grind out a points win against Pops.

Hopkins was coming into that fight with two belts and some wins behind him. There was plenty to gain for Kovalev who had no names on his resume.

Froch doesn't have anything to gain fighting this Hopkins.
