Hopkins wasn't the one going on a campaign to get Froch and complaining about the fight not happening. It's Froch who mentined B-Hop and B-hop called his bluff and is ready for the fight.

Downplaying the fight after the fact, tsk, tsk tsk. How about don't mentioned him at all if he is boring, and too old, and doesn't bring anything to the table.

Typical Hopkins. When the going gets tough with people his own size, he picks on the smaller guys. He's been doing this through out his career.

Sadly as much as I respect B hop, Froch is correct here he is in a lose lose situation, if Hopkins beat Kovalev or at least put up a competitive fight and it was close or a draw, I could justify it.

Also sure Froch wanted the fight before but he changed his mind after thinking things through, it doesnt mean he is ducking B hop, also his promoter Eddie HEarn is doing business or going to do business with Al Haymon who just signed Chavez Jr, so that is their main focus is the biggest money fight available for them,

But Froch knows a lot of haters on here and nay sayers will hate him regardless, if he doesnt take the fight he is ducking, if he did take the fight they will say wow Froch is so tough what a cherry picker taking on a faded legend coming off a loss.

If Hopkins can get a big win at 168 then you have a way to justify it, but Froch is at the age of his career that he is only looking for the biggest money possible he already wants to retire soon and wants the spoils that go with it and rightfully so.

Froch isnt a superstar money maker who can fight any guy and still make millions like a Mayweather and Pacquiao or Klitschko, right now Froch is trying to land the Chavez Jr fight in Vegas, and Eddie Hearn is aligning himself with Al Haymon to get the fight done.

The only other fight for Froch that will be a good fight and make some good money is against GGG or a rematch with Ward in las vegas on HBO with a 24/7 build up.

Well Eddie Hearn is aligning himself with Haymon so why would they even bother doing business with Hopkins who is Haymons enemy since Hopkins works with Golden boy promotions.

exactly. This guy fought welterweights at middle weight and middle weights at llight heavy weight. People pretend that he always fought the best. He always needed some kind of advantage style wise or size wise to win. He ducked chad dawson and Tavoris Cloud until they took losses.

He is actually, believe it or not, just not in the US. PPV fighter in the UK.

Froch staking his career on Chavez is risky business, as is being inactive at 37 years old.

He's at the stage now where he's finding it difficult to get motivated by certain opponents. DeGale wasn't big enough for him. The likes of Golovkin and Hopkins are probably challenges he fancies but is being advised against taking at this stage of his career.

Personally, I'd like to see him fight Anthony Dirrell for the WBC title but there has been no talk of that.
