So Wilder turned down 10M for Povetkin.

GGG isn't the champ at 160. Even if he defeated cotto and was, he has not shown the ability to fill a major arena like Floyd or Manny so he would be the "opponent". The main attraction almost always determines where the fight will be.Comment

For that to happen, Wilder's team would need to make a counter offer you absolute spastic.
Why is Wilder willing to fight Fury in the UK but not go to Russia for $10m?Comment

And what, make 1/10th of what he would earn if they fought in Russia? Doesn't make any financial sense. All so people can pump their chest and say we the A-side.Comment

In this case, that would be Povetkin. He's bringing the money. He's the A-side.Comment

Agreed. Povetkin's backers have shown a willingness to overpay for fights so Povetkin can have the home advantage.
In my 1st post in the thread I explained IMO it was right for Wilder to not take fight at this point.Comment

You didn't "call" anything yet. Wilder has only had the belt for two weeks and he can't start training until March because of a broken hand. Nothing definitive has happened.
I also recall you predicting with confidence the referee would stop the Stiverne fight as soon as Wilder landed a punch. You're not doing well with predictions so far.Comment

Right because he's afraid of getting his ass kicked?
Povetkin isn't even that good.Comment
