If the figure was $15 million I wonder how opinions would change?

I can't offer an excuse for this but in my opinion, Wilder needs to face Povetkin, and look better at beating him than Grabomir Klinchko.
ROFLMAO.... I love how the Baby Klit haters say that Baby Klit only beat Povetkin because he dirty boxed Povetkin to death. He flat out beat the living tar out of the smaller foe. Aside from Stiverne who is Randall Cobb with power. Wilder has never faced anybody with ability of Povetkin so turning down the money makes sense as his inflating star power could be snuffed out before it begins.

Not a bad point, the future after a Povetkin win isn't necessarily that bright.

That was why I didn't want to see Stiverne v Klitschko, it gives Wlad total control of the division to fight whatever tin can Boente lines up for him.

Having said that Wilder vs bum after bum isn't much better.

I just want to see a HW champ who will fight the best consistently and if he won't do that, let a belt or two go to spread the wealth and create more match-ups.

that's terrible logic man, if every champion did that we'd never see good match-ups.

It's right that fans push for good fights, this trying to baby a champion is kinda pathetic to be honest.

not that logic in what you are thinking. Im not saying do a garcia-salka type of sh^t either. IMO he can fight fury next, cuz from what the brit fans have been saying fury does not think wlad will fight him. That fight can be here in the states and fury is also top 5. After that wilder can either fight wlad or povetkin. If povetkin really wants the fight, he could come over to the us. "oh but wlad went over there doe". Yea how far is wlads hometown to there? Now how far is wilder from there? common sense.

I agree, but shoulderroll was giving him a blank canvas to fight any tom, dick or lightning rod.

As long as Wilder fights someone credible I'm good with it, if he wants to turn down $10m to fight Povetkin that's his choice.
