It's definitely not the same. But, Hatton was making a ton of money. I think he would've made a few million quite easily. And Witter is a fairly big name in UK, if I am not mistaken.
I know many people give Hatton a pass. But, he did duck that fight, I believe, because he was afraid to lose, rather than it not being big enough. Style wise, I think Witter would've had Hattons number. But its not like Hatton shied away from other tough fights, like Wilder is seeming to do.
Can't really compare Hatton to what Wilder is doing, to how carefully protected Wilder is.
But, Wilder should be taking these fights. If he was a boss he would've gone to Russia and taken that belt. He doesn't really have a good excuse to turn down 10 million and a belt. And if he did get robbed, no one would've held that loss against him, so that is not a great excuse either.
