yea,,,,its pretty amazing how many overrate lewis. he was great but far from unbeatable and he never faced a heavyweight his size as good a two fisted puncher as wlad. there's vitali but he hadn't near the snap and quickness of wlads punches. it would be a dangerous fight for both and anyone saying otherwise doesn't know boxing
Yeah I'm actually not even pushing to overrate Wladimir against Lewis either, what I've said could also be done the other way too, it's just as you said, a bit rich how this guy did have some struggles against opponents he really should have dominated but Wlad is nothing but a bum by comparison.
I don't think Lewis was overrated at all. Compared to Ali & co he's extremely underrated. Possibly the best HW ever and not even close to a household name.
Anyone who thinks he would have an easy time with the Klitschko bros under any circumstances (or vice versa) is a fanboy though.
Vitali Lewis was possibly the "ultimate" boxing match - in the sense that I can't think of any other fight in boxing history where as a team, anyone would overcome those two.

Can't dish you anymore Green K at the moment mate but I took a look at your activity recently and very impressed with knowledge, fairness and common sense.
80sFighter = One of the best posters on the Scene!!
Ross Purrity, Lamont Brewster and Corrie Sanders can **** on Wlad but Lewis can't?
Not really the point though. Styles make fights and Lewis is just a much superior version of Wladimir. He'd rough him up and knock him out
I believe I covered that very next issue in my next post replying to Beez, so don't get ahead of yourself...
SIT YOUR ASS DOWN nut bag!
As for your last part, there are some differences between Lennox and Wladimir but you'll have to define "superior"? Because a lot of things, Wladimir does better than Lennox.
By roughing him up I'm guessing your saying Wladimir will crumble under pressure. That's plain false, Wladimir is terrifically disciplined and reactive to the occasion now. The type of outside fight Lennox brings is exactly where Wladmir wants it too.
It would more closely resemble the Tony Thompson fights but with LEnnox being a better boxer and harder puncher than Thompson.
Wladimir is not Michael Grant or Andrew Golota. He is a very different specimen than that.

The only thing Wladimir does better than Lewis is clinch and lean on people.
Wouldn't work against Lewis who isn't some fat little pudding like Povetkin.
