Floyd has been running dead scared of Provo and Matthysse for 4 years now. I still remember the event where Provo was present and floyd kept hiding behind a wall asking the camera man from FightHype "Is he gone?". That video disappeared from the site within 24 hours. I would pay anything to anybody who might have it to see it again.

I get the point of this article. Matthysse hasn't made any waves since the Molina fight in April last year. He knows he isn't getting a Mayweather fight. He's name dropping to get some media buzz. A Provodnikov fight boosts both of their careers. Hope thats the fight that happens.

the logic of a fighter earning a shot or being next in line to fight mayweather or even pacquiao is dumb as ****. there is no one in boxing right now that has earned a shot to fight mayweather or pacquiao except each other. all other fighters may be a good fight, or dude has a chance of winning, or its convenient but not one of them is worthy for a shot. besides, if the history has anything to say, the only time someone earns a shot vs guys like these, is when you bring competitive amounts of cash money to the table but that doesn't mean it is the best fight.

by definition, the #1 contender is the guy who earned a shot. but that doesn't always equate to $$$ so someone else is PICKED. these guys do not fight guys who earned the shot. they pick opponents based on whatever parameters their team wants but don't get it twisted, opponents are PICKED. im not saying cherry picked, just that it was a calculated decision to go with whoever.
