Did you guys watch the same fight I did? He was getting off on Garcia then his eye start closing. I know it's apart of boxing. But Im just saying he was really competitive in that fight. And it wasn't a landslide victory. Freaking Herrera beat the hell out of Garcia. Yeah maybe the two guys who took a loss to Garcia should fight each other.

Yea, he was definitely getting to Garcia. He was winning the fight. But once that eye closed, that changed everything. I think Lucas would probably win in a rematch, but I think Garcia will never fight him. If Haymon is trying to get boxing mainstream, he can't rob fighters, no more gifts for Garcia.

The flaw with this is that the guys you listed came back and had significant wins and became champion before fighting Floyd (with the exception of Guerrero, who became mandatory challenger). The most significant win Lucas has had since losing to Danny was Molina. Lucas needs at least 1 solid win at welterweight before asking for Floyd IMO.

I wanted Lucas to be better than he is. Fully root for him, but he has lost all big fights that could have catapulted him to stardom (garcia judah! Devon).

I hate Garcia but I am honest. Danny absolutely took Lucas best boxing and bombs and did not wilt. Iron chin. Danny can actually improve on that night.
