The only fighters I think Lucas can beat at 147 are Khan and Bradley, other than that, I think he gets smoked out by any other notable names.

I don't believe he would beat either one of those 2..

You should go back a few pages and see how me and you even began this little debate. As a matter if fact the only times I've ever went back and forth with you it had to do with Mathysse for some reason... It's like you have some sort of weird radar and anyone who doesn't think he's the second coming of Duran has to go back and fourth with you.

I am not saying he was clearly beat. But if he was a truly upper echelon talent he would not have left any doubt just like Bradley, Porter, Kahn, did to those two. Thats the standard i wanted to measure him by.

This is my point: i wanted him to be truly great. But sadlu He is not even if he beat those two closely.

I like him and would have loved to see him turn into a star. But results dont measure up. He hasnt been up to star status in the big fights, robbed or not.

That fight was in no way, shape, or form a robbery. Khan looked like a deer in the headlights when Pete brought the fight on the inside and he was looking for the ref to bail him out all night. He got beat up/exposed in that fight and majority of writers/fans were ok with Peterson getting the nod in a close fight.

I wouldn't call the fight with Molina a waste of time ... Wake up call would probably be the more apt term. It's better that he (and his fans) found out against Molina that he was vulnerable than finding out against a guy like Thurman where there might not have been a chance to recover. The machine needed a tune up.

Would have taken Matthysse over a Maidana rematch, still doesn't mean Matthysse is deserving or has the style to trouble Mayweather. Part of why Maidana gave Mayweather some issues is because of his jab, physical strength; size, tying Mayweather up against the ropes and his dirtiness. Matthysse doesn't have all that, I do respect Matthysse's fitness, he doesn't tire.
