Its definitely not out of the question that Pac catches him. GR seems have these momentary lapses in some of his fights where he switches off.

However he has shown very good recovery so far and mostly seems to suffer flash kds before getting back up and resuming his schooling.

This isnt a Marquez situation here imo where he could get caught multiple times. Rigondeaux has a much better defence

agreed, but this is why i mentioned the southpaw vs southpaw as a slight advantage for pacquiao, rigo would have to contest with pacquiao's shoulder a little more, and pacquiao would have a big height advantage

I've never been sold on rigo's chin. The times I've seen him get hit with flush shots(very rare) he wobbles or gets dropped. He just doesn't absorb shots very well. Similar to Wlad klitchko.

Pac at 122 was a huge puncher. He was a force of nature at that weight with speed and power. Hard to pick. Rigo UD or Pac KO.

He was still that good back then, he just didn't have the body of work then. But the tools were there, and sharper.

But i think Rigo beats this version of Paquaio. Someone said earlier that 122lb pac was an 'off rhythm fighter',this is completely untrue. He was very rhythmic. He threw a couple straight rights and followed with a straight left.

He was strong, fast and gifted no doubt, but very basic. Rigo is very good at ****ing with the other fighters rhythm and timing their movements. He has also had ****** amounts of experience fighting southpaws (most cubans are SP, and many amateurs are. Not sure why this is)

Unless Pac catches him (which is possible, pacs a monster) Rigo outboxes him and makes him look silly at times.

A hypothetical P4P matchup is more intesting imo between 130-147lb Pac vs Rigo. Pacquaio has better balance and more tools to throw Rigo off his game as he went up the weightclasses and spent more time with a decent trainer
I meant more of him being an off rhythm fighter consisting between both fighters. Even Nacho has stated why Pacquiao is dangerous for the exact reason.

Pacquiao's temper is unpredictable is more of what I meant. Rigo will be used to countering guys and them resetting.. Pac will reset sometimes sure but he's crazy as ****ing **** when he was 122 pound fighter. He didn't know what to do except batter his man even if it meant taking punches.

Sorry, but I didn't read the worthless, fantasy threads of Pac vs Rigo at 122. Rigo is 10 times the boxer that Pac was at 122....not even worth discussing. *******s will jump on this no doubt though...

Never seen Rigondeaux against an elite fighter who forces the fight so it's hard to say.

Most guys here have not seen Pacquiao at 122. I don't think he even fought in the U.S. until 2001. But, bandwagon fans are not fickle I guess.

Rigo would outbox the 122 pacman if he doesnt get caught.

Why do people bring up Rigo going down to a few "c" fighters but not Pac being KOd by a few himself. Lol.

Anyway, it would seem Rigo is a bad matchup...stylistically. Rigo is also a big puncher at 122 and I'm not sure Pac at 122 was as good as Donaire at 122. I feel like Pac got better as soon as he left 122 actually and wasn't as much of a left handed fighter imo. Still, Pac was a pretty f uckin big 122 lol.

I'd call it a toss up with a stlistic favoring for Rigo and a considerable size advantage for Pac.
