Pacquio can fight the fighter if the year Terance Crawford in may and then Mikey Garcia in the fall or kell brook. Maybe if provodnikov beats a big name he could fight him in the fall. Floyd wouldn't have much a say in it. Showtime is not obligated to pay his guarantee after the first fight of the contract. No way Showtime puts up $30 million plus to Floyd to fight Amir Khan.
If the Pac fight gets made then great, its what fans have been asking for. But if not than Canelo/Cotto is the bigger fight and will get the May 2 date. Cotto's people have even said that the date and venue are not an issue, wherever the fight will make the most money.
