I am not rooting for or against the May 2 date, unlike Kellerman and the majority of the people on this message board. .I will watch Mayweather fight on any date

It really doesn't make a difference to me either. Kellerman is stating what may happen. If Canelo vs Cotto gets signed before Floyd is able to sign with someone and Canelo decides on the May 2nd date then you will be watching Floyd on another date. It will then be a fact.

Ok, lets say Floyd loses May 2nd.. so what? Why can't people realize the biggest loser if there's no Floyd-Manny fight is Pacquiao. What is plan b for Pacquiao? He's under Arum, all the top guys are with Haymon. What is he gonna do? Fight Jessie Vargas? Thats sinking even further than Algieri.

Floyd-Khan will do great numbers, why do people act like Floyd is backed into a wall. Pacquiao should be the one praying Arum makes the fight happen, his plan b is atrocious.

Pacquio can fight the fighter if the year Terance Crawford in may and then Mikey Garcia in the fall or kell brook. Maybe if provodnikov beats a big name he could fight him in the fall. I can forsee mayweather backing out of fighting pacuiao because he will claim arum wouldn't agree to the may second date. But them arum will just go ahead and make canelo cotto anyways and force mayweather off that date. Then he will truly be exposed if he fights anyone else but pacquiao on another date because it will show the date truly wasn't an issue to begin with, just another road block. Mayweather is backed into a corner he needs to put up or shut up. Put his money where his big fat mouth is as he has said himself.

The only people who believe Floyd is ducking Pac are the idiots who post on this message board. This message board, which only represents 1/100th of 1 percent of all boxing fans, is also the only place where Floyd has lost any respect because, any way you slice it, 1.7 million PPVs (Floyd's numbers for 2014) is better than 1.1 million PPVs (Pacquaio's numbers for 2014)

Arum already has Pacquaio's next opponent lined up -- Jesse Vargas! Unless some miracle occurs and we get to see Mayweather/Pacquaio, Pac will fight Jesse Vargas in April or June 2015

+ it's not like Cotto is a fully fledged middleweight anyway, he was comfortable at 154, so don't really see why a catchweight would be needed. Cotto was 155 vs Martinez.

Max is right, Floyd wouldn't be wise to compete with Cotto-Canelo fighting the likes of Khan or Garcia. Although I do think he'd still outsell them, it wouldn't be a smart move for anybody involved. Anyways, Mayweather is getting the date regardless I believe. Canelo might be foolish enough to push for the May 2nd date but Cotto knows better.

I've said this on so many threads two weeks ago.

Floyd is only interested to get the may 2 date. once he get that sched, he will find a way for Pac negotiation to fail and then fight someone else on that same date which is the plan A all along.

Trying to trick them? wouldn't put it past him.

People are making it out to be a big deal if Mayweather loses May 2nd. If he can't fight Pacquiao, I just think he'll brush it off and fight on another date.

A rematch would be good. First fight wasn't close in rounds, but nearly every round was hard-fought. Cotto-Canelo happens though imo.
