- not consistently doing well at WW.
- even Floyd fans would and were laughing at the fighter prior to that one fight.
- even Floyd didn't know who that opponent was a year earlier.
- Floyd actually was telling you that it was a cherry pick between to cherries.


Maidana got ranked because he beat Broner. Broner was fighting at 130 a little over a year earlier. Floyd fought Maidana twice without his punchers gloves.

Bradley is another Manny opponent.

Bradley fought smart and boxed Marquez. Most of Floyd's opponents are flat-footed come forward type fighters. Marquez has a field day with those type of opponents. Marquez does NOT do as well against boxers.

Sorry floyd fans but Maidana, ghost, Ortiz, hatton, marquez aren't true top contenders..they may be ranked but never were considered 1 or 2 ranked contender.. Guys like margarito, cotto, williams, manny, have been the top contender over the years
Mosely is about the only top welter floyd faced, besides Judah and baldomir who shared the lineal title in 2006

Also Sharmba Mitchell is the last fighter he faced that was not ranked at welterweight when he fought them....waaaaay back in 2005

he has 14 consecutive wins over 13 past/current titlists or champs....no one else has done this

You forget that Floyd is held to the highest standard in this era so these wins for Floyd are considered cherry picks. Pac on the other hand can fight the likes of Rio's, Algeirie's, and Varga's and be praised for it.
