Between Casamayor and Floyd, Diego was knocked down 8 times!
Being weight drained had something to do with it or Diego just wasn't that good at that weight ....... take your pick.
Lol most of those KDs were in his one fight with Floyd.

I think we all know that 5 were with Floyd but Diego did go down another 3 times. Not a good stat. It was well documented that Diego was weight drained for Floyd and weighed in 2lbs over weight and had to go drain himself to lose those 2lbs for the fight. Again, all well documented.

Did he go down 8 times because he just wasn't that good or was weight drained or both?

Quite honestly, i believe if floyd hadnt retired for that one year it was his. He probably woulda had 1 mayyybe 2 fights in that time. Mosley for sure, not sure who else cuz top rank woulda been out the picture (no cotto or margs) i dont kno what other big money fight he coulda had at the time.

Mayweather has also fought 16 fighters ranked in the top 5 of the divison being fought in. (Ring Magazine)

There's not many in modern history who have done that.

I think only Pacquaio comes close.

Not bad for a cherry picker/fraud/coward

The status of ex or current champion means nothing. You have look at each opponent contextually. Many of these wins such as Mosely and Baldomir came way out of prime. Others such as Hatton and Marquez were well outside of their then natural weight divisions. Also as titles become easier and easier to win the stat becomes less and less relevant, the examples being Ortiz and Maidana. There are lies, damned lies and statistics.

Of course you can do this to a certain extent with all fighters and I don't deny that Mayweather is a superb fighter. Pacquiao's resume at 147 is very comparable for Mayweather's with many common opponents. However, his fights at lower weights make, in my opinion, his resume superior and his smaller size means that he should have a little more credit for who did fight at 147/154.

your biased just admit it..manny at the lower weights has four losses..manny never dominated one division he's been in..name one division where pacquiao had more than 5 title defenses.. pac at 147 is a joke..

                      1. oscar -completely washed up - non champion
                      2. cotto- weight drained like oscar to give pac an advantage
                      3. robbed marquez
                      4. lost to bradley
                      5. koed by marquez
                      6 beat bradley
                      7. washed up rios
                      8. bum algeri

floyd and manny are no where near comparable at 147 or any weight class they competed in.

                      floyd has out done manny at 130, 135, 140, 147, and 154...
