I don't really look at that as a championship welter fight as floyd was coming off a 2 year layoff and marquez hadn't fougth at welter, and it was a catchweight.. It was more of a warm up fight for floyd..
Same reason I didn't mention rios, algieri
The fight was at first suppose to be @ 144lbs but it was changed to a welterweight match when Floyd refused to make the 144lb. contracted weight and gave Marquez $ for it. And that same tune up for Floyd sparked Manny out cold years later lol. So Floyd's tune up was Manny's arch rival who gave him all he could handle and more?

This right here is why Floyd's resume cannot be judged on names alone. On the surface he beat Marquez a world class fighter with ease, but in reality he cheated on the weight while making Marquez come up two weight classes. It's a good win but its these little caveats that tarnish some of Mayweather's best wins.

floyd has dominated `130-135-and 147 having more than 5 title defenses in each division as well as bein recognized as the lineal champ in those weight classes. what lower weight class did pac dominate like floyd dominated 130.

pac is smoke and mirrors he never won a title at 126 or 154 or 140 so im curious what you consider a mark of greatness.

marquez III was a robbery and oscar, margarito, and shane were definitely washed up as they didnt have titles at the time pac fought them, nbut they did have titles when floyd fought them.

he beat a washed up barrera and morales who were not prime and thats better than beating oscar and shane when they were champions..pac fought barrera and morales when they did not have titles, floyd fought shane and oscar when they did have titles.

floyd has 1 catch weight while pac has 4 catch weight fights whose the cacthweight king again.
Another objective boxing fan stating FACTS.

Manny Pacquiao fans unfortunately have a bunch of fans that don't rely on facts. They rely on emotion and delusion to make their argument that Pac has accomplished more in the sport of boxing than Floyd.

Keep stating the facts broham. Floyd Mayweather's accomplishments and overall boxing skill overshadow anything Manny has done or can do.

I remember the Barrera-Pac fight. Barrera was mulling retirement after it was exposed he had a plate surgically installed in his head.

Erik Morales was coming off a L to Zaheer Raheem.

Again when Floyd fought CANELO, HATTON and CORRALES, they were undefeated WORLD CHAMPIONS!

When Floyd fought Mosley and De La Hoya, they were current world champions coming off of successful VICTORIES! Not LOSSES like most of Manny's opponents.

I just hope this fight finally happens so the truth can be exposed. And the sad part is the TRUTH of that matter is that the hate towards Floyd will continue even after Floyd whoops on Manny.

Also Sharmba Mitchell is the last fighter he faced that was not ranked at welterweight when he fought them....waaaaay back in 2005

he has 14 consecutive wins over 13 past/current titlists or champs....no one else has done this

If you think Mayweather aint fighting good comp then obviously you think nobody is
Whatever man. No Manny Pacquiao, no atg's.

This must be random statistic week.

So I'm sure that the list of names included Baldomir? See, that stat you stated is meaningless.

Ortiz? Here is a stat for you. Since his win against Berto, where he was knocked down twice, he lost to Floyd, Lopez and Collazo. So what does your stat prove? It's meaningless!

baldo was the lineal champ numb nuts. I know most pac tards didnt start watching boxing until 2008 tho.

also when has pac fought the lineal welterweight champ? oh thats right never. must have a big KO loss before you can fight Pac.

Off the top of my head.. Vitali and bhop. Joe Cal did this during his time as well.

By OP's parameters, Pac did this 15 in a row, but lost twice. A KO from JMM and a BS decision from Bradley. if you factor the loses, 12 in a row.

None of those fighters you listed did this.

Especially not Calzaghe and Vitali. Those two barely fought 13 ranked fighters between them let alone in a row.

                  Hopkins didnt do it.

Pacquaio fought Margarito in his last 15 fights, he was unranked.

Shane Mosley is no a ATG?? He might not have been primed, but alot of people put Mosley in the top 10 130lb fighters ever.

I think Mosley is a ATG.
Juan Marquez is another ATG, I understand that some say he was bloated.
Oscar de la hoya is a ATG as well.

So if Mosley, Marquez, and Delahoya are not ATGS, that means Manny Pacquiao has no ATGS or you just removed 3ATGS from Pacquiao's resume.

If he fights Pacquiao then all of the criticism goes away. Their is another atg who fights in his weight class and era, this atg won fighter of the decade last decade. He is of the same caliber as Floyd and the greater of the 2 can only truly be settled by them fighting in the ring. If he fights Khan he can fu.ck off btw.
