To be fair, I don't think Floyd has said it's May 2nd or nothing. Although, Arum is kind of indicating it's that for him (i.e. not on May 2nd).

Hopefully they can figure it out. If the fight doesn't happen, I don't believe it will be because of dates. Way too trivial given the sums involved.

To be honest, if Bob said, " ok I'm fine with the date". There will still be roadblocks. HBO, Showtime and all the other sponsors will have to come to an agreement. If HBO and Showtime can't reach an agreement, it gets shut-down anyway.

Mayweather wants to fight on May 2nd to maximize his payday. If the fight is with Pacquiao then the date I dont believe it will matter that much but seems like the Mayweather camp feels like it will. Bottom line is Arum shouldn't be as worked up over it as he is.
