I wonder what this will do to Canelo's elephant sized ego? When more people will pay $80 to watch Mayweather-Cotto II on PPV than will watch Canelo "The Mexican" on free HBO.

Yup, I got Cotto in that fight too.

        The Cotto/Roach/MacMillan train is unstoppable.

If you wanna get technical, against Castillo floyd won 2 bouts in the books , but it's really. 1-1 so floyd will forever have Castillo problems

I don't have a problem with Canelo, but his ego has grown exponentially for seemingly no reason. This guy hasn't earned a damn thing in boxing. He's been handed everything. Now he thinks he can keep taking things he hasn't earned. He's in for a rude awakening. If Mayweather-Pacquiao doesn't go down, I hope Mayweather-Cotto II does. So we can all laugh at that tough guy Canelo.

"I'm taking the Mexican dates because I'm Mexican". Who is this guy?
I'm sure you're only mad because you want your father Floyd to be able to fight Khan/Alexander on that date and not have to worry about Canelo stealing his shine... Canelo on regular HBO against anyone is still a better investment than Floyd v. Khan/Alexander...

Well if you want to go that far, dozens of boxers fight on Cinco de Mayo every year. I don't think that's what Canelo or his fans had in mind when he mentioned "taking back" the Mexican dates. In Canelo's mind, it meant being the prime main event on that "holiday" weeked. Not fighting Joshua Clottey on regular HBO while the rest of the world pays attention to the guy that made Canelo cry (Mayweather) and the guy Canelo wanted to fight (Cotto).

With that said, I still think Cotto-Canelo happens, but it will be sweet if Canelo gets his shit fed back to him. You gotta earn it in this sport.

Of course not, Canelo's demanding 50/50. He's literally pricing himself out.
