If Floyd and Cotto fight again, I dare to say Canelo vs GGG would dent it real bad and would much rather watch that.

True but not on hbo and certainly not on ppv

There's nothing "solidified" or constructive about your post.

There's is absolutely nothing wrong with fighters who are looking to make the most out of their "brand" if and only if they are looking to face the best.

A better example of what's wrong with boxing is guys who use their brand, leverage, or affiliations in order to fool the public facing second tier fighters. Think of fights like Garcia/Salka, Manny/Algieri, etc,.

First, my initial post was meant to be entirely critical of Canelo without any iota of constructiveness.

Second, your emphasis on brand this brand that indeed solidifies my point. Canelo and his camp believe that Brand automatically affords him the right to dictate whereas the actual scenario should have him humbly requesting to have the dates that he covets from Money. Its a classic tail wagging the dog situation since he has not done a damn thing in this game to proceed as he does. Money, Pac, and Cotto have earned their stripes one fight at a time. Canelo has not followed in similar vein. One signature win, a gift, and a total shellacking dont merit a claim that he owns anything in this game especially due to some perceived ridiculous right for a national holiday not relevant to the USA. You ask why? Because respect is earned not given or in Canelos case bought in large part due to a fortuitous demographic.

Finally, for the record, I have absolutely no issues with a fighter with a huge following wanting to make the best fights for the benefit of us all. In fact, I credit Canelo for stepping his game up following all those lightweights and taxicab driver he fought in the past. However, that is not the point or the rationale for my initial posts. Its the egotistical manner in which he goes about his business that provided the impetus for my initial posts. His unwillingness to stay in his lane and wait his turn like the majority of fighter did in the past is what I take issue with only.
