You guys dont understand how many mexicans love canelo and support his fights. May fighting garcia will make no buzz in the mexican audience. Oscar can talk as if he's running ****, but the broadcasters are gonna go with a proven commodity over a flash in the pan in Canelo and an also ran with Cotto.

If you add these two's best PPV's as an A-side together, they don't equal Floyd/Maidana I. When SHO says they're broadcasting the Floyd fight on 05/02 HBO will force the other two to back off.

You guys can go on about the Latin market, but they didn't support Canelo ( I remember him getting booed in the Angulo fight) or Cotto's last fights, so I have no reason to believe that they will come out in droves for their fight with each other.

Hey man i think Floyd is full of **** right now..but Showtime gave him that huge contract and backed themselves in a corner.....Don't get me wrong i think Cotto-Canelo is a damn good fight and would buy it..but Floyd is just a huge draw and can fight Danny Garcia or Khan(2 fights i never want to see) and outsell them and get his guarantee....He doesn't give a ****

They can't wait around for the Floyd/Manny drama to play out. Arum needs to set a deadline for Floyd or announce the Canelo/Cotto fight before the end of the year for May, with the contingency that if Floyd/Manny happens they move off the date to June or whatever.
