Oscar makes more money off Canelo than he gets from licensing in a Floyd fight, so yeah he's going after the Cinco de Mayo. Even if Canelo has underwhelming numbers for his fight if they both fight on the same night, its still numbers he takes away from Floyd whether it's 1 or 500k, it's still bad for Showtime and Floyd. For however millions Floyd is guaranteed per fight Showtime isn't going to risk losing more money putting on an event.
