You guys are overthinking this. Oscar isn't bitter, he's trying to make his cash cow happy. Canelo wants to fight on that date because Mexican dates actually mean something to his culture. He needs to make him happy to continue business with him. Floyd can fight on another date. I don't understand why the hate. Floyd doesn't own anything. Canelo can fight on those dates. Exactly; any dance partner that is not Pacquiao is going to to be a tough sell in terms of running a PPV against Canelo-Cotto. If Oscar and Bob make a deal, and they might just because Arum would love to spite Floyd, Mayweather is going to be between a rock and a hard place in terms of trying to keep that date.

Arum is much smarter than that. If the fight makes more money putting it on a week earlier, that's what he'll do. It's the dollars that make sense to him, not all the other stuff.

He ran Martinez-Chavez on the same date as the Canelo-Ortiz PPV (which was cancelled and changed to Canelo-Lopez) long after the MGM Grand was booked and the PPV was announced for Canelo.

He didn't give a **** about losing buys because hurting Canelo/GBP/Showtime was also factored into the equation.

No, he doesn't. But by beating Canelo, and everyone else put in front of him, he gets first dibs. I would even say Pacquiao should get second dibs for this date.
