You guys are overthinking this. Oscar isn't bitter, he's trying to make his cash cow happy. Canelo wants to fight on that date because Mexican dates actually mean something to his culture. He needs to make him happy to continue business with him. Floyd can fight on another date. I don't understand why the hate. Floyd doesn't own anything. Canelo can fight on those dates. Makes more sense if he did anyway.

Arum is much smarter than that. If the fight makes more money putting it on a week earlier, that's what he'll do. It's the dollars that make sense to him, not all the other stuff.

When Floyd Retires he can have those dates. Too bad GGG will make Canelo irrelevant by the time Floyd Retires.

            Nope.

He ran Martinez-Chavez on the same date as the Canelo-Ortiz PPV (which was cancelled and changed to Canelo-Lopez) long after the MGM Grand was booked and the PPV was announced for Canelo.

He didn't give a **** about losing buys because hurting Canelo/GBP/Showtime was also factored into the equation.

I'm not afraid to admit he has been acting like a coward lately but he is still the cash cow in boxing and he will remain the cash cow till he retires or loses if he ever loses which I doubt. Unless Garcia lands a no look left hook.

Again, he doesn't own the dates. You should be happy as a boxing if this happens. Floyd might actually fight a worthy opponent.

i wouldn't actually call pot shoting and clinching then coasting to a ud "laying the smackdown"

No, he doesn't. But by beating Canelo, and everyone else put in front of him, he gets first dibs. I would even say Pacquiao should get second dibs for this date.
