Exactly; any dance partner that is not Pacquiao is going to to be a tough sell in terms of running a PPV against Canelo-Cotto. If Oscar and Bob make a deal, and they might just because Arum would love to spite Floyd, Mayweather is going to be between a rock and a hard place in terms of trying to keep that date.

Showtime can not try to push Floyd around...all their boxers are either Haymon fighters or Mayweather promoted fighters..they have zip 0 without them

Him and Oscar are bitter as hell that Floyd beat Canelo..the plan was to beat Floyd and become the cash cow..instead he lost and can't even do 500k on his own..hell add his 2 ppv's up from last year and he didn't even hit 750k

Canelo and Mayweather together did more than double what Floyd usually does on PPV. It's the event, the two fighters together, that make a blockbuster PPV.

Canelo and Cotto haven't been the A-side on PPVs that exceed 500k, but together there's no way that fight does less than 900k. You have to take into consideration the classic Mexico-PR rivalry, both guys coming off big wins, etc. Mayweather has also had the main boxing weekends on lock for years. If Cotto-Canelo gets that date first, then they're the ones that are going to reap the benefits.

It's a talked about fight for a reason, and it'll be big money if it gets made.

The funny thing is, is that Canelo and Oscar are only thinking about the Boxing fans. Boxing fans won't forget about certain fighters. Casual fans do. Casual fans don't know **** about boxing. When someone loses, they go like okay, whose next. If it is Mayweather, no matter who he is facing the casual fan is buying because they are sheep. What people don't seem to understand is that the casual fans still count as buys, the casual fans still count as people who bought tickets. Mayweather vs Garcia would do more than Canelo vs Golovkin and Cotto and that eats oscar up inside, and the reason why it would do more is simply because it is Mayweather. Oscar is desperate to see Mayweather lose. The only way he loses is if it is vs Gennady Golovkin at 154. And I even think that it is a real winnable fight for Mayweather. Oscar is delusional and is not willing to accept the fact that Mayweather is the cash cow and it will be the case till he retires, or till he loses if he ever loses.
