Not very many. Only PACs cult following which has proven to be at least 400,000 or so. Regardless of who he fights. Which is still pretty good.

Did anyone expect this travesty to sell good? I bet Manny vs Vargas does 100k... all Pinoy buys lol. 40 mil with 35% upside sounds real generous now lol.

How is this different than any other time? Arum stopped HBO from releasing Pac numbers after Clottey or Margarito I believe. All the number since then have come out of Arums azz!

The point of this thread is to give people who dislike Pacquaio or his fans an opportunity to come on this board and criticize and ridicule him. It is the same as the point of all the lame threads that Floyd haters post on this site 10 times a day and every Floyd thread that you haters post 400-500 comments on.

The difference is Pac worshippers act as if they are being persecuted when Floyd fans do the same thing to you and your favorite boxer that you do to Floyd daily.

Makes sense. No one in their right mind expected this PPV to do anything but flop. Hopefully the numbers are embarrassingly low enough to make Arum reconsider the Vargas b.s. which is sure to be an even worse failure.

            Serves him right.

What are you talking about? Pac's numbers have been either released or at least confirmed by HBO as recently as Bradley II. Meanwhile, over at Showtime...

Fans looking forward to sifting through future pay-per-view numbers after a big fight as a way to rate the success of a promotion shouldn’t rely on Showtime to

Floyd fans think pay per view is the end all be all for a fight that generates revenue. Arum gets money from the site fee which ventian probably paid enough to offset the pay per view loss. So he could pay manny 20mil. If manny fought a Latin fighter on cinco de mayo and Mexican independence day he would have a million pay per view buys each time because his style is more entertaining to watch then Floyds.

But Showtime is not releasing Floyd's either since it wasn't good either. This argument, like the steroid argument, was orchestrated by Floyd and you bums keep buying into his excuses. Ok so Pac doesn't sell PPV well, I guess no fight "peeleft:

Pacquiao is receiving a $23-million guarantee for the Algieri bout because the site fee is nearly three times more than what he could secure in Las Vegas, Arum said. Pacquiao also avoids paying U.S. taxes on his purse.

And while U.S. pay-per-view sales Saturday might be less than a typical Pacquiao fight because of the distant locale, Arum said Pacquiao should pocket an additional $7 million in pay-per-view profit.
Manny Pacquiao's popularity in the ring outgrew his native Philippines, but China's embrace of capitalism has given him another chance at fighting closer to home.

I could believe that.... but I bet people will pick and choose what they believe with him.

Hopefully this means no Jessie Vargas next
