Did anyone expect this travesty to sell good? I bet Manny vs Vargas does 100k... all Pinoy buys lol. 40 mil with 35% upside sounds real generous now lol.Comment

What's the point of this thread? Did anybody really think Pacquiao in Algeiri live from China was going to do big numbers? This was expected....only Floyd fans were consumed with PPV numbers running with the excuse of "Pac does not sell more PPV's then Floyd" as another excuse for not making the fight.
The difference is Pac worshippers act as if they are being persecuted when Floyd fans do the same thing to you and your favorite boxer that you do to Floyd daily.Comment

Makes sense. No one in their right mind expected this PPV to do anything but flop. Hopefully the numbers are embarrassingly low enough to make Arum reconsider the Vargas b.s. which is sure to be an even worse failure.
Serves him right.
How is this different than any other time? Arum stopped HBO from releasing Pac numbers after Clottey or Margarito I believe. All the number since then have come out of Arums azz!

The point of this thread is to give people who dislike Pacquaio or his fans an opportunity to come on this board and criticize and ridicule him. It is the same as the point of all the lame threads that Floyd haters post on this site 10 times a day and every Floyd thread that you haters post 400-500 comments on.

Pacquiao is receiving a $23-million guarantee for the Algieri bout because the site fee is nearly three times more than what he could secure in Las Vegas, Arum said. Pacquiao also avoids paying U.S. taxes on his purse.
And while U.S. pay-per-view sales Saturday might be less than a typical Pacquiao fight because of the distant locale, Arum said Pacquiao should pocket an additional $7 million in pay-per-view profit.Comment
