If memory serves me right, Parkinson tried to call out Ali on the hypocrisy of Islam or something like that, which got Ali kind of mad because he didn't have anything prepared.

Yes he is one of the boxers I dislike the most, that's true. He is by far the most overrated boxer of all time who's career was heavily manufactured. But the only thing I can say I actually HATE which is a strong word is the mythology invented that surrounds him, perpetuated by people like you.

I did not discredit Ali for the great things his DID do.

Just as I wont discredit Tyson for the good things he did!

Tyson certainly had MAJOR hangups, drug addiction, rage, psychotic behaviour at times. But he also had some very good qualities and also a kindness about him too. He was once "the good guy" too.

Ali, despite doing some good things, was also a bad man. The problem with Ali though is, while Tyson's antics were directed at a single person, Ali's were more broadly sociopathic, addressed to large groups and contained an idealogical element. Megalomaniacal.

Oh but it was all an act, of course.

Ali went against the wrong things,,,he may have been overly aggressive in hsi beliefs but its because he had strong principles and didnt break it for anyone. He didnt hate whites, he hated alot of things that lots of white ppl stood for like anti semitism. HE ouspoke against them publically an promoted equallity even if it made him seem like he hates white ppl, when he hated anti blacks just like they hate him....the only difference with ali is he stood for equality and they stood for segregation......he also had alot of white friends not to mention almost his whole corner is white and he is friends with lots of white public figures.

He also refused to kill innocent ppl in vietnam just because uncle sam wanted him to even if it meant going to prison wich he was prepared for, why would you go fight another mans war jsut because the government says?....he refused and stood his ground and that inspired ppl who also had those beliefs, if i was asked to go kill ppl that havent dont anything to me i would also refuse....thats why is important.

And if youre going to try and say something about him and his family the worst thing he ever did was cheat on his wives and was married multiple times, other than that he took great care of his kids and is still has good relatonships wuth his ex...

Yeah yeah, you don't stand a chance, they'll burn your house down, you left that part out Yes it MAY have been joking but of course when suspect incidences actually occur in fights, like flopping, then it lends to speculation. Or aren't we allowed to speculate on your favourite fighter now?

Yeah I have made some key threads addressing the great OTNB issues. However you'll find most of them lately, in fact it's been months since I have, have been initiated by maybe not you but some of your kind if you will. I have merely gone on those threads after witnessing a bit of circle jerk, offered my opinion laced with a few facts and BOOM, it's on again. That's a bit different from making constant threads of my own about it.

The main reason I think we keep coming back to Ali is because he is woven so deeply into the Golden Age mythology. Frazier here's entire fame is built around him as are the other greats from that era. So a discussion involving him becomes inevitable eventually doesn't it.

Your involvement of Klitschko was completely unnecessary here however by contrast, you see. I tell you I didn't like him and personally don't care about his out of ring escapades until some people try to goddify him. You can think of him any way you please really there, just don't try to sell me a Christmas present though. For me its his in ring performance that is relevant.
