Mayweather won't work with anyone from top rank. No one. If he chooses Cotto, people will bicker and say, Wait A Minute, Miguel Cotto is with Top Rank. So is Manny Pacquiao. I thought he said he isn't fighting any TR Fighters. If he is fighting a TR Fighter, It should be Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather is going to fight Garcia who is more worthy than Khan.

Is Cotto locked in to a TR contract?

On another note, I wonder if Pacquiao was smart enough to have some type of out clause worked into his contract?

I love all these people calling Cotto a diva... we don't even know what any of the demands are. But apparently fighting Canelo on his home turf or nothing is being a diva. Canelo needs the Cotto it is not the other way around that's for sure. Cotto still has the option of Floyd out there as well as GGG and even Tim Bradely which is crap but it's out there.

So if the fights in NY Cotto is a diva but if it's in Vegas or Texas Canelo isn't the diva?

Working with Arum in Mayweather's mind most likely is the Equivalent of a contract.

Well if that was the case he wouldn't have fought Cotto the first time.

He wasn't working with Arum when they fought each other.

If one is a diva then both are divas

You mean he wasn't signed to him. He was negotiating a fight with Arum but liked the Mayweather deal better. If Cotto isn't signed to TR then yes, the fight is absolutely possible.

Mayweather vs Khan would be more uncalled for. No one wants to pay 80 dollars for a fight that would end with Amir Khan getting knocked out in the first round. If Julio Diaz could knock Amir Khan down. Mayweather could knock him out.

Cotto used to be under contract with Arum. He was done with his contract when he fought floyd. I havent heard of him signing a long term contract with arum again. Arum has been willing to do fight by fight basis with is former fighters if they got enough draw. Its the same way JMM has been fighting both GBP and top rank fighters back and forth easily. If cotto - floyd 2 happens, it will be al haymond handling cotto promotions with floyd promotions doing it on paper.
