Nothing against Texas but that just seems to serve Canelo more then anything else. Also Canelo got a draw on a score card in a fight where the outcome was as if he wasnt even in the ring that night. Imagine the Score cards in Texas, lol.
      Canelo is the A side.

I think cotto has more haters than pac and floyd combined. Cotto hardly ever gets props for his wins.

What does Cotto gain from beating GGG? Everyone will just say GGG wasn't as good as we thought he was.

What does Cotto gain from fighting Taylor, Lara, Trout again, etc?

Sure as hell nothing like if he fights Canelo.

They need each other. There's no other realistic big fight for Cotto.
a mayweather rematch... if pacquiao grows balls, a rematch with cotto over 150 lbs.

Or, Cotto can just fight some weak title holder like Bundrage or unify with Quillin, two decent fights no one would really care about given the other options. Cotto would be ****** to not fight Canelo. It's a big, big fight that would gain a lot of popularity, and would surely live up to the hype with the styles these two bring.
                    Quillin has no belt anymore

                    • Hahaha I told everybody here the same thing Oscar is saying that cotto would rather fight in June cause of the PR parade unless canelo fights on regular HBO I don't see him going head to head with mayweather
