See everybody's got excuses as to why they won't fight GGG. One man doesn't have excuses and that man is Andre Ward.

GGG's team and fans though have too many excuses for why this fight shouldn't happen.

Ward has promoter issues, so does Chavez
Ward is 8 pounds heavier, so is Chavez
Ward is elite, Chavez isn't
Ward can make weight, Chavez can't
Ward has all the titles, Chavez doesn't
Ward is the 2nd best p4p fighter, Chavez though...
GGG would've made 2 mill against Chavez had the fight materialized, you don't think he would've made the same against Ward
Murray has visa problems, Ward doesn't
Froch doesn't believe he can pay per view money with GGG, Ward is not looking for a pay per view
GGG would fight anybody from 154 to 168, he won't fight Ward
GGG's team is looking for somebody that would test him, he fights people who can't test him and his team comes up with excuses why Ward is not a fight they are looking forward to.

To be honest Ward needs to be active. The fact that he isn't at the moment makes him look irrelevant, unless Team GGG wants to take advantage of his inactivity but then people would point that out if they both fought now. You really can't please boxing fans these days.

Ward is in a different weight division. Ward is not a popular fighter and the fight wouldn't make much money.

Golovkin will move up in weight only for a financially rewarding fight with someone like Chavez or for Froch in the UK.

I'm a big... HUGE Ward fan, probably the biggest on this site, and I do recognize Ward's to give up some advantages or else just waste away his career and become a footnote to Calzaghe. Right now it really bothers me with what he's been doing along with his attitude. I just don't get why he's already willing to retire and he hasn't even reached the stage of fighting out of his hometown and becoming a name in the sport.

This is actually the perfect time for Ward vs GGG.

People didn't want this to happen a couple years ago because Ward looked like too much for any middleweight or super middleweight to compete with.

Now that Ward has been inactive while GGG is very active, it balances the fight more. GGG has the opportunity to pull an upset now that Ward isn't in his best condition.
