I am a big GGG fan but how come nobody from the media asked for Ward?

Honestly, and this is from a Ward fan, he does not deserve it. Ward has done absolutely nothing lately to piggyback off of anyone else's popularity. Neither has Chavez for that matter. However for GGG's 1st fight at 168 obviously Chavez would be the smarter choice. However once there, I believe he should fight Ward in his next fight. If Ward is still a fighter cause who knows?

True, but when Ward was active he wasn't calling for it either. He only started talking about it when K2/Sanchez said they weren't interested in it. Before that, Ward was making his own excuses.

When he's not fighting it just comes off as him using Golovkin's name for publicity as Ward has said multiple times Chavez is the fight he wants.

Its because Ward has become irrelevent largely because of doing nothing of note for years and no sign of a return anywhere in the near future. Ward has pissed his career away.

I don't think anyone even takes Hopkins-Golovkin seriously enough to ask about it.

160 to 175 is quite a large gap, Bernard has a fight coming up, Golovkin is hoping to clear out 160 before moving....it's not really a realistic fight, at this stage.

B-Hop has also said he'd fight Pacquiao and Mayweather in the past, nobody asked about those fights either as they weren't realistic.

GGG's critics say he hasn't fought anyone, he hasn't beaten one single top level fighter ect but then they expect him to jump from that into fighting the worlds second best fighter and a division up no less....

It would be a great fight though and a classic example of where a catch weight fight actually makes some sense. Doubt Ward would be interested in shedding a single ounce of his advantage in size though and I highly doubt theres a grain of truth in the claim he'd fight him Anywhere!

so hopkins can go up 2 weight classes after coming off 2 losses to fight the number 1 guy and be huge underdog and even his own ex-trainer bouie fischer said hopkins cant beat tarver at lhw...

yet ggg cant move up to fight a guy who weighed in almost 3 pounds under the limit in his last 2 fights and he is damn near 50 years old

why you holding them to different standards?

Precisely. I think most of us like seeing GGG and think he is a damn good boxer. Its just that he hasn't lived up to his words and his diehard fans seem to have a different set of standards for him.

GGG can really fight and has great skills-don't his fans want to see his best? they will never see it if GGG continues dominating guys not on his level.

cotto is not gonna fight ggg at 160 pounds at this stage of his career

wait for canelo-cotto , if canelo wins and doesnt agree to fight ggg in one of his next 2 fights then move up

otherwise once he retires, he is gonna have a career with 0 wins over hall of famers when its all said and done

cotto is already locked in as a first ballot hall of famer and he lost most of his big fights

and these promoters are fooling the fans

they say they wanted ggg to go rounds in this fight?? yet they pick rubio ? a guy who has already been knocked out in the first round , smh, for crying out loud lol

ggg's team is ducking ward, abel sanchez does the match making for ggg along with the promoters who ask him if its a good fight for ggg, thats why abel was in attendance at chavez vs vera II.

kesslers team made an offer to wards team during wards lawsuit so why couldnt ggg's team. if they really wanted that fight they would have.

ggg isnt ducking, he would fight anybody but lets be real here. you guys are letting bias in the way of your opinions here.

B-Hop had achieved all of his MW goals and decided it was time to move up. He also was coming off losses and wanted something new, it all made sense for him.

Golovkin hasn't achieved his MW goals, he wants to clear out the division. He would ideally fight Cotto, Canelo and be done with 160 but history suggests he;ll have to take a few more fights before they man up....btw, B-Hop's record of 20 title defences will be in GGG's sights soon.

So yeah, B-Hop decided to move up because for him it was the right time and his goals were already reached. Golovkin isn't at that stage and it's others trying to get him to jump divisions to suit them.
