Bottom line is, if you are better you will win. Oscar is just looking for an excuse because he lost to Floyd and was completely outclassed, same would have happened when he was 28. FLoyd is a better fighter then oscar ever was, so oscar should just take the L lol how is he talking smack like over 5 years later, he must be a really sore loser tbh

Not really. Ali was better than Spinks but lost in the first one. Age can get to anyone.

As for Oscar, Oscar means more than just age. Oscar was more promoter than boxer by then and his lifestyle had changed as well. Older, rusty Oscar had 1 fight in 3 years and still made it close one on the scorecards. So it's natural for Oscar to feel the way he felt.

It's a completely fabricated concept meant to mitigate white guilt and excuse racism. So you can say I have a shabby record with race baiting but realize that you expose yourself for what you really are by even using the term "race baiting". Boxing forums and especially Mayweather articles are just a place where skinheads and rednecks like yourself get to express and foment hatred. None of you are true boxing fans. You're just people looking for something and someone to hate.

      um, um, um, dat ether.

Leonard was a retired fighter for most of the dudes you named.. Leonard actually signed to fight Pryor but had to back out and retire due to his retina. Pryor said he heard it on the radio, pulled over and cried.

Winky and forest aren't legacy fights,, Shane, Tito, pernell, Ike, Vargas were..
Regardless, Floyd hasn't done anything comparable to what Ali, oscar, Leonard, etc when they were the face of boxing
        Except go UNDEFEATED.

Over a 17yr. career. In his 5th weight class.

        Bad hands and all.

Still beating CHAMPS at age 37, when ALL other prime fighters at that age before him were getting KTFO.

You name them. Any of them, with the exception of Holyfield, i suppose.

To include the great Ray Leonard. Who lost to a friggin 'past prime' lightweight, IN HIS PRIME.

And ODH, who lost WAY more big fights than he won.

        C'mon Son...

Woooo a world beater huh? He's beaten 1 ATG in his prime and thats JMM at a catchweight. World champs? So what? Algieri is a world champ.

And rocky and calzaghe retired undefeated too, but most people say Sugar ray robinson is GOAT despite losing 19 and drawing 6. Undefeated is applaudable but has it has to be taken into context.

and when you take Floyd's record into context-he gets voted top 12 fighters since ww II by Ring. Only on forums like NSB with Manny fans and Floyd haters do we get posters who attempt to distort his legacy.

Floyd fan rushes to his defense and spins it against manny...typical. Iwas responding to the poster i quoted. This has nothing to do with Manny. I already know that Floyd ranks higher all time than Manny because of his record. Love how you use it at every opportunity on here....maybe I should put in my signature how Manny won the Boxer of the Decade award or how Floyd's been associated with PED use.

I didn't spin anything against manny-i pointed out what "Manny fans and Floyd haters "do. I didn't disparage manny in any way or post anything about him.

                • You don't know that.......

"I already know that Floyd ranks higher all time than Manny because of his record."

You do? Because I don't. Matter of fact, how can that be determined right now? They are both still active fighters. Manny is the only 8 division Champion in the history of boxing. A lot of where a fighter is ranked all-time, is about opposition faced. Manny's place in history is higher at this very moment. Cotto's place is as well. Cotto is the first fighter in Puerto Rico's rich boxing history to win world titles in four weight classes. That along with his steep and comepetitve resume, trumps ANYTHING Floyd has done inside a boxing ring. So, his undefeated record means nothing in terms of history. Who did he beat who jeopardized that record? Don't worry, I'll wait? His best win was against Corrales.

                    And Corrales beat no ATGs.

IN that case he should have never taken the fights with Pacman Or floyd. He knew what he was signing up for and he knew he could lose. he had all the experience and training he needed for those fights. You never see ali complaining when he lost because he knows it his fault.
