de la hoya KO's all the flat footed slow dudes may weathers fought recently

whens the last time floyd fought a guy like himself?

lara and sergio (in his prime) were/are right there.

      No. Just no.

I didn't see a close fight either when they actually did fight. 9-3 or 8-4 if you're generous.

          I agree with this comment.

Name one thing that De La Hoya ever did better than Mayweather in the ring. And if De la Hoya couldn't land one significant right hand on Whitaker and had to be given the benefit of the doubt to be given a questionable decision at the end of Whitakers career when Oscar was in his young prime, what makes you think there was ever a time when he could beat Floyd Mayweather? It just doesn't add up.

Poor bitter Oscar, dude is losing it. That loss to Floyd sent him straight into a coke haze cloud of crack and fishnet stockings....... Now he's trying to live his dream through thus kid who will end up in the same boat if he stays with Oscar. ......

whitaker was a better fighter all around. Would have beat Floyd. I think Floyd is the best fighter today, but in the past there were many better fighters. Including DLH, and Pernell.
Hell Jose Luis Lopez would have gave him hell.

34 is, usually past prime tho
30 in a weightclass you've never fought at is at least not best. Prime isn't by age its where you performed best.

How many Mexican fighters have maxed out before 30?

So i dont get how anyone could say floyd would beat hoya at his best with a straight face....this argument has no solid basis whatsoever...imo...
Busted up? he never got cut. He fought the way you guys now complain he would never do and was viciously tagging the hell out Augustus, but now thats a reason he wouldn't win with Oscar?

IMHO Floyd is the best lightweight ever, even over Duran, and no way Oscar ever beats him in that class

The relapse is on its way. De la ho is over his head. Mistake #1. Losing schaefer. #2 Challenging mayweather for the may date. #3 the alvared vs clottey debackle. #4 hiding alvareds weakness"s and the biggest one is The lingering mayweather ass whooppin that he allow to continue to ruin his life.
