anyone with a brain knows de la hoya at 29 or whatever age he was beat mosely in the rematch, there for saying floyd would beat de la hoya in his prime because mosely got a gift decision in the rematch is not fairly accessing the fight imo... prime for prime the oscar jab by itself is enough to offset the speed of floyd, oscar would of taken a close decision imo... just think of the oscar that fought tito vs floyd then and now, it would have been too much for floyd imo

Well, I'm merely stating the obvious.

Oscar and Castillo are nothing a like as fighters.

Oscar more of a boxer, Castillo an aggressive inside fighter.

Doesn't even need breaking down really it's just a ridiculous comparison.

I guess both have Mexican in them?

Oscar in is prime struggled with a past prime, coked up Pernell Whitaker who was down on points to Hurtado before scoring a KO and arguably lost to Rivera.

        Give me a break.

they both have a similar stance, oscar when being aggressive(im guessing you didn't know he could be aggressive) has a similar approach to castillo, squared up, that jab, the coming in low and jumping up, very similar stuff and seemingly neither has as much of a right hand as they have left hook but mainly they have eerily similar technique when throwing their punches

plus i can't get out the image of castillo tripling and quadrupling those left hooks to mayweather body which was again, eerily similar to the moment oscar had with floyd

Pernell whitaker was a southpaw , way more offensive, more versatile fighter than floyd...the only thing floyd does a bit better than pea is not getting hit....

                bye now
just saying "they're similar" doesn't make them similar.

Oscars style is more of a boxer, patient, waiting for opportunities. He can out punches together of course and stand his ground and fight at times but thats not really his style.

Castillo is an aggressive fighter, not a boxer at all, slips punches from close range and can counter from close range but he comes forward, and gets inside where he's great and keeps coming forward.

Again, these two are nothing alike as fighters.

Both have good left hooks I suppose like that makes them similar.

Both have Mexican in them, erm, what else? Both have good chins.

                Yeah, terrible comparison.

not really a big fan of oscar......but prime oscar will destroy unproven welterweight floyd............just saying....the level of competition between ODH vs PBF is seas apart in favor of the goldenboy..............

At age 33 all of that was out of the window. He was struggling with journeyman.
