Do People Forget Cotto Calls The Shots Against Canelo?

I don't know if he is the guy to call the shots but one thing is certain...
Him and his team go around repeating over and over about how they call the shots. That's all I hear.

Whatever Team Cotto said about being able to dictate terms doesn't change the fact this is realistically their best fight available. Again Mayweayher won't happen because Arum would be involved, he has the same trainer as Manny and the weight issue won't be resolved. GGG , well that's obviously not happening because he doesn't sell according to Roach.
Floyd/Cotto 2 will happen with Arum involved if Showtime says that's who Floyd has to fight next or they just drop him from that contract. A condition of any contract is living up to your end of the deal, for CBS it's paying him $32 million a fight. For Floyd's its delivering PPV buys and he hasn't been doing that so Showtime has the leverage.

Floyd is not smarter than a massive corporation like CBS and a $200 million deal over 3 years didn't just happen without someone making sure CBS had some ways out of it or leverage over Floyd. I'm sure they were okay with Floyd fighting anybody if they were making money, they're losing money now and that isn't going to fly anymore. If a fight with Manny happens Arum will be involved Floyd has no choice, it'll be the same in a Cotto rematch and that's assuming Cotto has a long-term deal with them in place which no one really knows.

If you review CBS quarterly earnings reports in 2013-Showtime has been profitable because of the increased subscriptions. Ray Donovan and Homeland surely contributed to the subscriptions more than Floyd. that said, each report notes the profit from ppv's.
I think its been proven that SHowtime is not losing money.

We haven't even paid any undercard fights which are NOTORIOUSLY expensive for Haymon. Showtime is losing money, no amount of spin can change that Dunn.

CBS clearly states showtime is profitable. Are they lying?
Where is your evidence other than your opinion? I haven't seen the 2014 reports so maybe they may reveal something else. How about you support your opinion with something tangible.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 10-08-2014, 10:31 AM.
