Not that hard to believe when Arum held a negotiation for this fight....without ever contacting anyone on Mayweather's side. What a joke.

They claim Mayweather can't read. You probably can because you're on a forum, but you won't. In my opinion, that's worse. Too bad you didn't read. You might learn something.
lol to learn what? that you are a dumb ass? thats what that red bar is for under you name.

More like Arum knew May would never accept to fight Pac so Arum would continue to dangle the Floyd fight out there knowing there was absolutely no risk associated with doing so but used the potential for the fight to keep people hoping for it. Floyd knows he can't beat Pac, hence he will fight Garcia moving up in weight instead.

              Your theory makes no sense.
Arum makes 27% of all Pacquiao's purses.
A fight with Mayweather at the time was estimated to reach the 2.5-3.0 million PPV buys, a fight that would generate money in excess of 150 million dollars.

Why would Arum, a business man, a man who is in this sport to make money deny himself part of that paycheck?

There would have been a rematch because of the amount of money both guys would have made. I'm only 31 and I don't know a lot of old boxing history, but only a 13 year old casual who watches 1 guy fight once a year would think that a loss would ruin Manny's career. Manny might not be the draw he was before being KO'd but Floyd isn't the draw he was either and he's never lost.

There are a fair amount of people, including myself, who believe that the Vietnam war was not meant to be "won." The war was meant to be sustained because war is big business for international bankers, arms dealers, etc. The war enhanced patriotic sentiment in some, and diminished it in others, but what was of utmost importance was that the money kept rolling in to the greedy rulers of this world.

I never realized how good Arum was at what he has done until talking to fanatical Pacquaio fans lately (which I've avoided doing most of my time at this forum). They really have no idea that Arum had no plans on putting Manny in with Floyd. If he did so, that would "end the war" because he himself believes Manny will lose and all the hype will be over. By not only avoiding the fight, but pretending to want it with bogus negotiations, etc., he could keep the money flowing in from Pacquaio fights and align Pacquaio with the greatest boxer of our generation. That gravy train was to be sustained for as long as possible. It did, however, hit a speed bump with Marquez.

How diabolical. But hey, if you're talking business, we have to admit it's genius. Why do you think Floyd doesn't want to deal with this scum. He knows he was wasting his time.
This is what happens when you spend to much time in your basement smoking weed. You become the theory guy. Every group has one.

Hhmmm I wonder who's legacy takes the bigger hit from a lost. If Manny loses to Floyd it's by boring fashion, a SD or UD. Floyd scared to engage and pot shots from the outside all night, Ref Bayless breaks the action as soon as Pacquiao cuts the distance.History has taut us Manny's career doesn't take a bad hit from losing to Floyd this way.
On the other hand if Floyd is not able to keep Pacquiao off of him.
Pacquiao KO's Mayweather and that will do big damage to Floyds ability to sell PPV because he has built his legacy on that zero.
No matter how Pac beats him KO or decision.
So who has more to lose here and who is really scared to fight?
