We can lost a million of example of guys who never fought an elite fighter and won.

When I say "on paper" I'm referring to the style match up of the fighters, their sizes, where they are in their careers (prime vs past prime), etc. This isn't some Garcia vs Salka blatant mismatch. Chris is a legit fighter. He has legit boxing skills. On paper, I don't see anyway possible how this fight is a walk on the park for Pacquiao.

I do like this fight too. Im glad the guy who won is getting rewarded, instead of a guy coming off a loss (like we've seen too many times before). Again though, the problem here is it's not PPV worthy.
I just don't see where these "legit boxing skills" are.

I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest he has anywhere near the skill, ability or tools to beat Pacquaio.

really??????? didn't algieri beat provo far better than bradley did?

algieri is going to utilize that huge arm length advantage and height to keep pac at a distance. algieri will jab jab jab and pac will have trouble getting on the inside and landing because of algieri's superior movement and tight defense.

if a prime swarmer/brawler had trouble getting to algieri then pac is going to have A LOT of problems.

No, I'm referring to your other ashy knee habit. Now get lost and go explain to someone else how Algieri's "bigger" because he's "taller." Weirdo.

Streaming this horrible PPV card. I'll just stream the main event.

Anyone who knows boxing knows styles make fights.. while I don't see algeiri being that much of a threat to Manny, you never know. The kid could move and jab and outbox Manny for 7-8 rounds and win.
The only thing is when has a guy beat Manny and not taken a thrashing in return. Algeiri may have to mix it up more then he'd like to pull off a win.
Every fighter has to start somewhere and with a win here, this kid could become a household name and superstar.

                No not really.

                He get hurt less.

But both fights were close that could have gone either way.

If Provonikov can find a way to land and hurt this guy, Manny Pacquiao, far craftier and experiences, is going to do far worse. Algieri isn't gonna know what hit him.

IMHO, that's not a good way to judge a fight, or predict the outcome of a fight. Going by resume alone, again we can come up with millions of examples where the guy with the lesser resume won.

If we just look at the fight based on a style match up, boxing abilities, size, etc. this should be a competitive fight. If Pac blasts the dude in a few rounds, then I'll say you were right all along. I just don't see that happening.

Not long till he goes into survival mode and were looking at Pac-Mosley 2.
