just because pac has been at welterweight longer doesn't mean he's more suited to that weight than algieri. if you know algieri you'll know he drains himself down a significant amount to make 140. welterweight will be a much healthier and better weight for algieri. and again he will have a huge height and reach advantage and still outweigh pac by a significant amount.

and again it was not controversial. majority of press had algieri winning and so did i.

Actually, it does mean that until proven otherwise. Algieri is not a welter. Pacquiao has been there for five years. Sorry, argument dismissed.

Controversial or close, take it how you want. A close win against a decent junior welter. Whoopty-doo. Not impressed and when you see those PPV #'s, you'll realize that neither was anyone else.

I'm sure Pacquiao can make 140 without much problems. You know how Roach is, always trying to get a little bit of a weight advantage with all of his fighters.

On paper I think this is not a mismatch. The hight, reach, movement and style of Chris should give Pacquiao a lot of problems.

I think the PPV numbers will be very poor because hardly anyone knows who he is.

who in that division can pac realistically make a fight with? all of them are with haymon except bradley and marquez.

Someone seriously needs to watch the video before making a complete fool of himself and asking more dumb questions.

            Divine Hammer it is.

              Horrible fight that should bomb.

I'm so confused why Bob picked Algeiri... but then remembered it's Chinese PPV...just looking for a reason to build up Zhou over there

Maybe. He comes in over 150 these days. I'm not sure it's to his advantage to move down. Either way, he's a legit welter and I don't think he should take that backward step.

Yeah, on paper it's a mismatch. He's never faced an elite fighter, let alone an ATG.

no it doesn't. algieri is a big guy. if you've seen the press conferences or go on his instagram and watch his interviews he's done currently and in the past like i have then you'll know that he is more than capable of fighting as far up as 154 or 160 successfully.

moving up 4 pounds isn't a big leap for someone like algieri and especially since he's fighting a small welterweight.

                  so you are wrong.

What Pac is doing is the same thing Floyd does every fight..he's fighting a guy coming off a big win over a name.nothing more or less.. he wanted the Marquez fight and Juan turned it down. Nothing team Pac could do about that.

algieri doesn't have good timing and counter punching? he showed pretty good timing and counter punching at times against provo (i think you need to rewatch the fight). he showed very good movement and defense as well to keep away from provo's power shots.

algieri's height, reach and movement alone will frustrate pac and give him a lot of problems.

bradley had a lot of success when he stuck to moving and jabbing pac in their fights and algieri has proved he is a master at this.
No he didn't at all against Provodnikov.

He edged Provodnikov and didn't do it by countering him. He's not a good counter puncher at all.

Algeri a "master" at that? Can't be serious.

Algeri brings nothing to the table that can beat Pacquaio. His movement might make Pacquaio look bad ala Mosley but he ain't winning the fight no way, he's getting dominated.

                      Completely different levels.
