Yeah, on paper it's a mismatch. He's never faced an elite fighter, let alone an ATG.
I think he weighed in at 144 and was 147 or 148 on fight night by Bradley..could be mistaken though, just going off memory..definitely weighed in at 144 though.

i'm not watching some biased hater video. i'm here to challenge all of you. and so far no one has brought any legit good reasons as to why algieri is bad except to bring up his record.

moving up 4 pounds isn't a big leap for someone like algieri and especially since he's fighting a small welterweight.

        so you are wrong.
I don't know what you mean by big. He weighs in as a junior welter. Miss me with all that speculation of 154 and stuff. I bet you think Algieri's bigger than Cotto. Why not? He can go to junior middle. Your arguments are pathetic.

Manny has been at welter for five years. Algieri's moving up to 140. That speaks for itself and no amount of whining or "so you are wrong" will change that.

A Cherry Pick by DEFAULT to be honest...WHO ELSE DID ARUM HAVE FOR HIM TO FIGHT? Especially since JMM wasn't interested in fighting Pacquiao AGAIN

Algieri kinda got lucky a bit and just got a big win at the right place at the right time, now he gets a big opportunity against Pacquiao to show the world that he is legit and someone to be take serious

I'm not against new younger/NEW guys getting a SHOT, that is how stars are born, how can boxing build up new stars if the guys at the top just recycle and fight each other over and over until they retire

you haters disgust me. algieri is a GOOD man. he fought his way to the top. he stepped into a fiery oven against provo and came out a blazing phoenix.

instead of bad mouthing him and calling him a bum, a salka wannabe nerd, we should be praising him. pac's biggest haters (malignaggi and atlas) says pac vs algieri is a good fight.

He was 150 for the first one and weighed in at his heaviest (147) for the second. I'm pretty sure he was 150-151 on fight night for that too.

Would you guys have had a problem with Manny be Providnokov if the Russian had finished off Algieri early in that fight? I wouldn't have, so it is what it is.. I watch every fight regardless and I'll be in front of my tv Nov 15th just the same.

you do know what i mean. he is a big guy. he is close to 6 feet tall, he weighs around 180lbs in between fights. if he wasn't so smart and educated in the field of nutrition then he would have an extremely hard time making 140.

and yah algieri can easily go to 154. again you should do some actual research on him and know that he is a big guy and is more than capable of fighting at 154 let alone 144 catchweight.

So what if he's tall? He's taller than Cotto, is he "bigger" too? Your arguments are a joke. The man is a junior welter, Pacquiao has been at welter for five years. Get over it.
