Comments Thread For: David Haye Vows To Be Heavyweight Champion Again

Former world heavyweight champion David Haye says he will reclaim his title once again - it is only a matter of time.

Haye, 33, has not fought since he beat Dereck Chisora in Manchester in July 2012 and his career has been in hiatus for some time.

He is currently in negotiations to fight out of the USA and is keen to make a long-awaited return after a string of injuries.

        Again?

That implies he was HW champion before.

Gaye could quite easily win a world title.

It's becoming quite clear what his plan was when he faked the injuries to pull out against Fury.

I suspected it was a play for the WBC title which it probably is but I didn't see the split from Booth and the Al Haymon wildcard coming.

He has quite the sense of humor...maybe he could be the heavyweight champ of comedy.

Seeing that he is a clown...

lol Haye just bided his time so the HW division would be in a state of flux, easier for him to go after a title now

He was heavyweight champion before. He won the WBA belt from Valuev in 2009 and lost it to Wlad.

Well he's on the right path. Do not fight until the division implodes.

He was a beltholder before. He was never heavyweight champion.
