I thought it was pretty clear Wlad was the champ at the time. I remember arguments over who was better between him and Vitali, but when Vitali came back from the 4 year break because of injuries, Wlad had already established a new lineage and was the champ.

I lost all respect for this man after he talked about beating up Wlad for years, and then gives a piss poor performance in the ring. I remember being very disappointed while watching that fight. I guess in Haye's defense he didn't get knocked out, but still, piss poor performance on Haye's part.

In the UK, they're OK with their fighters pulling out of fights for injuries... with the exception of Hatton... these UK fighters pull out of fights all the time...

Haye will never, ever be THE Hwt champion. As for the argument that he was already, at no time during Hayes' reign as WBA belt holder was he viewed as THE Hwt champion by anyone, unless they had an agenda

He's still the 2nd best HW on the planet.

Pretty good going for a blown up cruiser and hopefully he gets active as in the ring he is very good to watch.
