Mayweather purse will be given to commission Thursday. Cotto purse is $8 million (plus ppv upside). #boxing #RingKings

Deflect that right up your b*tch a$$.

I guess Floyd lied in his one on one interview then.

Dan Rafael of ESPN reports that Miguel Cotto will make a career-best $8 million purse on Saturday night against Floyd Mayweather Jr, plus upside money from the HBO pay-per-view sales.

From Dan's chat this past Friday

They won't announce numbers, which means they wont announce numbers they are disappointed by. This was Floyd's 4th bout on his 6-fight deal. Only one has cracked a million buys, the Canelo record breaking fight they gleefully announced. But the others did poorly based on their own expectations. The Maidana rematch won't come close a million buys either. I saw some reports claiming 925k. I do not believe that at all. My sources, at least as of yesterday, were saying it might hit the high 800s, meaning a little better than the first fight. But it's still too early on a Thursday after the fight to truly know when they are missing MAJOR cable system numbers like Comcast.

Please, stop making things up just to suit your agenda. Now, Ive found sources to prove you wrong. Can you post one source that supports your argument?

Yes it does. A rematch happens if Floyd loses and the opponent obviously would get paid more. I don't know what point you're trying to make here.

Maidana getting paid $1.5m from the first fight was laughable and it shows how Mayweather rips people off at the negotiation table. Which probably explains why he's so desperate for Pacquaio to leave Arum and join his stable.

              Not why.......

Sorry but that is not why Floyd's opponents don't get more than Manny's opponents. Floyd is a greedy ******* and that's why. Did you not read my post? MM made 1.5 million in the first fight and he was the WBA Welterweight Champion!!!!! Justify that again? CA is making 1.5million against Manny and Manny doesn't mind. He's a nice guy. PERIOD.

1.5 mil was his guarantee-it didn't include any US or Argentinian ppv money he got. Algieri's guarantee is 1.5 mil-he will earn more depending on sales.

Just an FYI-you are arguing manny's opponents get more yet you listed Maidana and algieri both getting $1.5 mil guarantees.

                  @ Argentine PPV money.

                  3 pesos or something?

Depends on what you go by. Everything out of Arum's mouth is exaggerated. But given Pacquiao's low guarantee (what's actually filed with the NSAC), it makes sense that there is more money available for his opponent.

Once again...I dont know how accurate it is because Floyd is known to contradict himself and lie, but prior to his Cotto fight, Floyd stated that the way his deal is structured, he keeps 100% of the ppv money. Now maybe he gave Maidana Argentenian ppv revenue but I dont think Floyd gave up any U.S ppv.
