So let's see.. You are a Boxing fan but what a person does outside of the ring is more important to you than what they do inside the ring?
Maybe Boxing isn't your thing?
In your own words; you are saying what a boxer does as far as boxing goes is of no consequence if he not a likable person.
Maybe you should go hang out on a Psychology forum or the Care Bears forum and you can all tell stories about mean people, sing Kumbaya and finish with a fucking group hug.
Dear God!! Do you realize how ******ed you sound?
But also based on your logic, nobody should dislike Floyd because he beat women cause it was outside the ring. That doesn't seem to be very sound... I brought this example because Floyd is especiallythat fighter whom style I don't even dislike, what he's doingin the ring it's but he is overthe top arrogant and simple, so I won't like him. That's all.
If you can completely abstract from their personality and you can look at just their accomplishments in the ring than good to you, most of the people can't, me neither.Comment

Froch has always respected Kessler. Even before he won their rematch, he admired Kessler because Kessler stood his ground and met him punch for punch.
He did beat Dirrell, of course, but he didn't mention him or Ward in that interview because he doesn't respect either of them. He considers both to be runners and spoilers, rather than fighters. He has also said that Groves hurt him more in one round than Ward did in the whole of their fight.
Ward beat him esily with half hand and he still can't admirehim. That tells a lot about Froch's personality. If he wins his face grow bigger than the whole Wembley but if he loses than he is a sour g**** loser who complains because his opponent didn't stand and trade with him. The fighters who tell things like this (running, didn't trae punches etc...) are mostly simple minded, one dimensional fighters who haven't got a single idea what to do with a little better mover and they can't process that they can't just punch where they like them. Sour g**** talk, nothing more. And Froch is fit in the picture, he developed a pretty good jab over the years but otherwise he is a very tough although pretty simple and one dimensional fighter.
And this is why I was a little annoyed when I heard this talk even from one of my favourite fighters: Canelo. But at least he said that after he won with wellplaced body punches (I think he deserved the W) in a close fight and Lara really didn't throw many punches while he moved but this "He ran" talk was still awkward.
PS: And so many people tell loudly that I/You/everyone MUST respect Froch because heis a warrior etc...
But a fighterwho can't even respect someone who beat him easily really deserves so much respect? And the picture of Froch "the warrior who would never duck nobody" is also a fake. He openly doesn't care about a Ward rematch however with that fight could he prove that he is the #1 SMW, and he openly doesn't want a GGG clash however Golovkin got the most vote on his facebook poll. He also didn't want to give the (deserved) rematch for Groves but the IBF forced him.Comment

The British public focus far too much on personality. Froch was hardly known by anyone at first, then he was respected for the way he fought and now that he's famous, the public love to tear him down because they think he's "too big for his boots"
Typical ***ing morons in the British public. Makes me ashamed to be part of it.Comment

That's boxing. There are more styles not just the one what he likes...

The only time anybody tried to set up a rematch between Froch and Ward was when Eddie Hearn approached Ward about him possibly coming to the UK, and it was Ward who didn't want to do it. At least, not without getting such a big share of the purse that Froch would have been fighting for peanuts. This is what Froch had to say about Ward last time he was asked:
"The reason that Andre Ward is never chucked in the mix is because the American TV broadcasters aren't really excited about him," Froch told Sky Sports News. "He's going through a big promotional dispute at the minute.
"He's a very, very good fighter and he beat me fair and square, he outpointed me. But he's messy, he's up close, he's awkward. He really is a bit of a spoiler. He's not somebody I'd be excited about getting in the ring with.
"Someone like Chavez Jr will come and fight, and give me the fight I want and what the crowd wants. The television broadcasters could get on board and it would be more lucrative."

Also, all this bull**** about Froch ducking GGG is ridiculous. Do people actually believe this ****?Last edited by removed; 09-24-2014, 02:00 AM.Comment

I think Froch was being honest.
He is not the most articulate personality but he is right on Groves when he said he looked tired and unimpressive last weekend.
Groves did what he needed to do, but made hard work of a pretty average opponent.
Froch said Groves was 'a giver not a taker' (no ****) basically he meant Groves could dish out the punishment but not take much incoming fire.
Which is a good assessment of Groves at this point in his career.Comment

And so are everyone else for that matter, people hate boxers because of their personalities all the time - Whether it's Haye or Khan that talks to much, Froch contradicting himself or Groves having too much confidence.
If we were all to look at their skills solely, then it would be an entirely different sport to follow.Comment
