Comments Thread For: Froch Rips Groves: Not Tough Enough To Be World Champ

There is no resolution to the hostility between British super middleweight rivals Carl Froch and George Groves. After drawing 80,000 fans to their rematch in May, the two boxers are no closer to expressing their support for each other.

After losing to Froch, by stoppage, in two competitive contests, Groves returned last Saturday night at Wembley Arena in London and won a twelve round unanimous decision over Christopher Rebrasse to capture the EBU/WBC silver super middleweight titles.

Groves is/was a hype job and Froch exposed him twice. I agree completely, that kid will never be world champ.

How was he "exposed" by Froch exactly?

Froch just angry that Groves downtalked his performances so much. And furthermore that Groves made his own fans turn against him. Honestly Groves is good enough to become champ. But in the second fight, Froch boxed better than him which is concerning when you compare their handspeed. Not that Froch is a bad boxer but he's slow though. He makes up for that in a lot of ways though. Groves still young.

I think it was fairly even by the time of the stoppage.

I agree, I'll actually give a slight edge to Froch, but yes it was close, but nothing like the first fight where Froch got completely blasted.

I believe it, Grooves dont have the chin, froch fought plenty of world champions that took that exact same punch and didnt go down.

Cats are scared to even mention Ward's name - he'll drop kessellers name or Arthur Abraham's name in a heartbeat, but no no no Andre Ward - this tells you how good Ward is - he mentioned Jermaine Taylor - lol
