Froch's last 2 fights were more exciting than Ward's entire career lol

    I dare somebody to disagree!

There's no such thing as the exact same punch in boxing.
Then there are all the other variables - where does it catch you? ... Did you see it coming? ... Are you moving foreward or backward when it lands? ... How tired are you? ... How many other punches have you taken already? ... Etc, etc.

Its par for the course, but it just annoys me how hardly any people can talk objectively on these forums...
Froch has a chin of steel, but can be boxed circles around. He is a true warrior, but is also a proper knob with no banter or wit at all. Even with two wins over Groves, he looked the more tense man when they spoke at ringside. He is petty and insecure - going off past grudges with Amir Khan too.
Groves is exciting and has grown almost in to a David Haye clone. He definitely has stamina and chin question marks, but at least he comes to fight and backs up his talk. His banter is pretty good, but he does get jarring and OTT with it.

In my opinion, the best scenario for British boxing is Froch vacates and lets DeGale win the IBF. Groves wins the WBC strap. Then DeGale-Groves 2 happens next summer in a world title unification. What an event that could be promoted in to, especially in London. I was lucky to be ringside at the O2 for their first fight and the atmosphere was electric!

The fight stank though. A rematch would intrigue me but i wouldn't be expecting fireworks or a war.

Lol, true. But it was an event. I also think both would be more aggressive this time...

Aye, both have come on a long way since their first fight, and it was close as hell. Who'd you pick winning the rematch?

At the world level you need to be able to finish strong. I just can't see Groves beating a top top guy out there (based on his last performance).

Nah man, that is the best punch Carl has ever thrown.

Carl is heavy handed, but his shots are normally short, arm punches. That right hand that knocked Groves into next week was just perfection; the feint put Groves out of position and then the right hand was thrown with full extension and his entire body weight went into it - that punch would have flattened many fighters.

I don't like carl froch because he refers to himself as "the cobra" in third person.
I don't like carl froch because he has a canvas portrait of himself intertwined with a cobra in his living room.
I don't like carl froch because of the way he says the word "magnitude"
I don't like carl froch because I had to listen to his slag scream "****ing hit him carl, he's ****ing ****" all the way through the Abraham fight.
I don't like carl froch because he then had the nerve to complain about other people being disrespectful. Demanding a level of respect and acting like a child if he doesn't get it.
I don't like carl froch because haye aside, I have never known him to show solidarity or be supportive of any uk boxer, being openly spiteful and argumentative with khan. But when groves gets some sparring in with Kessler patriotism is bought up.
I don't like carl froch because he thinks he can dictate his own legacy, always has his cv full of boastful hyperbole to hand to point out where he should go down in history.
I don't like carl froch because his warrior spirit in the ring contradicts his insecure pseudo warrior personality. Using an oasis anthem for his ring walk in Manchester, standing in front of groves after the rematch and giving him his due saying they were neck and neck in there, then a week later saying he absolutely annihilated him.

I admit I'm a groves fan but i've disliked froch way before groves was anywhere near his radar, always seemed to have a chip in his shoulder.

                    I respect his toughness.
I respect the adjustments he made for the rematch, which I totally admit thought he was incapable of making, proved me wrong there.
I respect the level he fights at and everything he's done in boxing given his natural ability.

But the way he is as a person has always overshadowed those achievements for me.

Maybe you should just concentrate on the boxing rather than make it to be a popularity contest.
