This Bro.. This....
It just irritates me so bad when he keeps saying TBE.. How on earth do you say that without fighting the consensus #2 fighter in your division that brings in more $$$$ than any of the fighters you've faced since ODLH?!!
It's a shame since Pacquiao would have been favored against any of the fighters Floyd has fought even against Canelo on a catch weight.
Fight Manny or just retire.. There isn't anyone else that's gonna make your TBE aspirations come true other than a fight against Manny...Comment

There's so many impediments on both sides that everyone involved is to blame. But, to say that PAC turned down a career high 40 mil is misleading, what was the career high guarantee that Floyd couldn't compromise on? 60 mil, 80 mil, 100 mil? Would that not have increased Floyd's future guarantees? According to this Forbes link PAC made roughly 300 mil as of the Rios fight & Mayweather 350, keep in mind GBP retains some of Floyd's purse as well, they don't promote for free. Fact is, both of these a$$holes have profited from boxing & it's fans, it's time they give boxing it's "event" of the past 10-15 years.Originally posted by Bronx2245

Although the documents do not disclose revenue also generated from pay-per-view upside, it's extremely doubtful that Pacquiao is getting significantly more than Mayweather in that department, especially considering that they both do similar numbers and in Pacquiao's case, Top Rank retains 27.5%. While I personally believe the subject of a 50/50 split is irrelevant, mainly because Bob Arum was never interested in staging the fight on May 5 to begin with, given those numbers, it's understandable why Mayweather might allegedly inform Pacquiao that a $40 million guarantee would be significantly more money than he's been currently making.

You guys take that "TBE" thing so literally ... Think of it as a gimmick. This Bro.. This....

Arum can get paid a fee for Pacquiao's services, he can have Top Rank's name on the banners, and he can even get some tickets to give out as he sees fit.
But aside from that he doesn't have to be involved.
Bob should have no problem with that. After all its the exact same thing he suggested for Golden Boy when they tried to make Mares vs Donaire.Comment

give floyd an inch,he takes a mileI never said he did. you can make any comparison once posters start saying that "asking a potential opponent to leave their promoter" is a "roadblock". Manny and his team have made this request of other fighters because he was the bigger fighter. they can't make it with Floyd because. well we know.
I brought up 2 instances where "asking a potential opponent to leave their promoter" was not a "roadblock" to a fight. Its not a "roadblock" if the potential opponent doesn't make it one.
If the potential opponent chooses to make it one-it's his fault, not the fighter making the request. which takes us right back to my initial post in this thread.
The only way Floyd is an impediment is that he isn't giving bob and Manny what manny wants to make a fight.Comment

Because it's clearly nowhere near the same magnitude of fight. You're talking about opponents. This is Mayweather vs Pacquaio not either of them versus some opponent. It just shows how brainwashed you f@ggots are that you actually buy into this. Why did I even come into this thread?Manny is not in a position to ask Floyd to leave. Manny and his team have asked fighters that do not generate as much as he did to leave their promoter as a condition of getting a manny fight. No one called these requests roadblocks. So when Floyd and his team ask a fighter that does not generate as much as he did to leave their promoter as a condition of getting a Floyd fight, it is troubling to now call this a "roadblock". Biased double standard.

How can people say it's too late for this fight, look at how many pages of comments for this. What if both Manny and Floyd's camp conspired to withhold the fight until the last leg of their careers. You can write an essay detailing how both sides have roadblocked this bout. Think about it, since 2009, both Manny and Floyd have been using each others' names to promote their upcoming fight. They fool fans into thinking "ok, after this fight it's finally going to happen." But after their fights are done, they don't speak on the topic anymore, because they already cashed in. They are both playing with the public.Comment
