Wrong.. This fight was unnecessary to begin with. He could have fought Thurman, Pac or Porter, but now Brook's name is thrown into the mix.

When did Pacquiao ever excessively clinch his way to a win lol?
Ali excessively clinched and is considered by most the best heavyweight ever. I don't, but most do. And that's a ridiculous claim as to how to rank fighters historically. Clinching is apart of boxing. If you wanna b1tch about something. B1tch about Bayless not allowing Maidana to work his way outta clinches. Either way, you show your ******ity and fanboy-ism makimg such ridiculous statements.

For someone who has watched Floyd for over 10 years it is clear to me he has declined significantly. Floyd wins one way(the way he fought against Maidana tonight) and whenever he deviates from that one way it is a serious struggle. Prime Floyd could fight inside, outside, on the ropes, whatever he was in the mood to do. He was better than anyone, anywhere they wanted to fight.

Two different fighting styles. Floyd can fight on the inside but If Floyd would have fought Maidana inside I guarantee he would have caught a knee or some ****. And don't forget pacquiao did a lot of running and holding against Rios. Even admitted he was running like a dumbass.

don't be naive pac leaves negotiations to his promoter. Floyd calls the shots but you don't call someone out of the blue and offer pac what is probably 1/4 of the pot. Who in the world negotiates that way. This is excuse #5768 for floyd. Don't fool yourself floyd can fight Godzilla if he wanted to and that also applies towards pac but floyd won't negotiate. The whole mystique with floyd is the zero and he knows once that's gone his marketability will diminish.

              • Ya Floyd wasnt as sharp as usual and his reflexes looked a little slower, but it really seems like he was in his emotions the past couple days. His last press conference he looked hella stressed and disinterested. Anne way before the fight tonight. Age doesnt just effect you physically, but also mentally and emotionally. I think he bout ready to give up. Say what you want the man is bad when he wants to be, but I think it's all becoming too much to keep on doing. I say go ahead and fight Pac and get that burden off the back.

He made the adjustments and made the fight easier on himself. But, he had some help in there tonight. And what made it worse, he didn't need it. I don't have a problem with the holding. But I did have a problem with Bayless breaking while Chino was still working and basically breaking them when Chino would simply work his inside Floyd's comfort zone legally. Don't get me wrong, the way Chino fought the first fight. And hos corner instructing him to fight dirty he kinda had to know this was coming. And biting Floyd pretty much sealed his fate. But damn, not gonna say Floyd had Bayless in his pocket. But Bayless clearly overofficiated ths t fight tonight was one sidedin that overoffociating.
LOL more Floyd-hypocrisy. Vlad clinches you complain, Floyd does it and it's OK. Clinching is illegal, you do realize that right? If Floyd clinched that much in Fight Night, he would have been DQd. Floyd obviously did need to clinch or else he wouldn't have done it.

Clinching is illegal. Thus, Floyd is a dirty fighter.

Did you even watch that fight? Floyd fought Hatton on the inside for 8 rounds and utterly outclassed him. Then decided to box him in the 9th FOR FUN. That Floyd was too much for many many fighters.
