You said this:I never said Martinez was a bigger or similar threat the GGG, and Purse doesnt mean Martinez was more popular, his two highest pay days were against Chavez and Cotto and the rest of his fight are more then likely comparable to what GGG is making right now. Sorry my friend Chavez was a draw way before Martinez. And everybody knows that. Like i put in another post GGG has already headlined the big room in MSG how long did it take for Martinez to do the same?
"I actually think its a close fight Im not sure GGG can hurt Chavez, his chin is IRON. Also GGG doesnt move like Martinez, hes there to be hit, its a good fight for both.'
Martinez won 11-1, so it's not a stretch. Also Martinez made 1.4m vs Macklin, almost 2x GGG's career high and 4x what GGG made vs the same guy.
Regardless, can you explain why the 2 fight extension is a bad deal? The money is obviously great, and if he'd taken it, he would have finished the contract well before he will sitting out and not getting paid.Comment

I see your confusion. You don't know the difference between perceived threat and fight outcome. You see trout was not a perceived threat to Cotto, but trout won. Trout is still not perceived as a threat to Cotto even though he defeated Cotto. Do you get it now? My self and pretty much the entire boxing world perceives GGG as a bigger threat then Martinez no matter the outcome of the fight. You said this:

Again I never said the 2 fight extension was a bad deal. I said the 2 mil with ppv and no extension was a bad deal. I also said there is nothing wrong with Chavez turning both those deals down whether or not he will make more moneyYou said this:

What are you talking about? Chavez was a prohibitive underdog to Martinez, especially with the experts and here in NSB polls. He didn't underperform by getting near shut out, that's what everyone expected. And here you are telling me the GGG fight is competitive. So you're both wrong on Martinez, and contradicting yourself.I see your confusion. You don't know the difference between perceived threat and fight outcome. You're more than welcome! And I will try not to overestimate your reading comprehension again. From now on, every post from me will be spelled out COMPLETELY, just so that YOU and you alone will be able to understand it!Comment

Why in your mind it's take the extension or sit out, is t because you understand that he will no be given a fair deal unless he signs an extension? You said this:

Fair enough. I don't think it's wrong either, depends what his objectives are. If it is to make money and/or enhance his standing (provided he believes in his chances), then it is wrong because sitting out will harm both. If it's health preservation, then he is probably in the right.Comment
