I didn't say you can't use it, I said connecting it to this is pointless.

Yes because cotto had lost to Manny at 145 lbs-hence the comment "I want my opponents comfortable, not drained".
Well he drained canelo and had JMM come up two weight classes AND cheated him on the scales.

It's funny because even Maidana on All Access admitted Gloves didn't matter in the first fight, and he even admitted that they came up short, so for all his big boy talk after the fight, he realized he didn't do enough to win. Also, I stated this the second the 2nd fight was announced, that the Glove issue was already handled in the contract, why wouldn't it be? It was such a huge issue in the first fight that had to be a point of interest for both boxers during the 2nd round of negotiations. So we can all shut up about the glove controversy, and maybe reporters should ask Maidana why he signed the contract if he's still going to ***** about the gloves

My point is that we're making a big deal about Floyd's mental games, but not how Maidana tried to get some fugazi gloves past the commission, but failed. I do agree that Floyd then proceeded to pull a sucker move, but it seems people ignore Maidana's first move. Had Maidana not try to pull the fast one, would any of this be news today?

              LOL at Big Dunn.

Fighting tooth and nail to say Floyd didn't pull a ***** move with the glove nonsense because he was the A-side but when Manny was the a-side and didn't want to agree to testing beyond what the commission required, Dunn doesn't think the A-side thing should even matter.

Big Dunn, you truly are the most biased Floydiot here.

[QUOTE=bigjavi973;1490927baitblame i was in the contract of floyd-dlh about the glove situation. Any fight above 147 lbs, are REQUIRED to have 10 oz gloves, unless it is decided by both fighters to wear gloves less than 10 oz. The gloves where changed after they were examined (the blue custom argentinian flag ones) but he completely denied the NSAC APPROVED RED GLOVES.[/QUOTE]

Floyd basically pulled a bait and switch, which means he welched on the contract. Oscar, Sugar Ray, never did anything like this (well, sugar ray did welch on haglers rematch). Lol

Thats just one big excuse to blame it on the a side.

This is like saying "Floyd sucker punched Ortiz." Of course he did, but only after Ortiz intentionally fouled Floyd first. After you get caught playin' dirty, your complaints seem real ******!

Because if he wants to fight Floyd he has to do what Floyd says. And Floyd wants him with pillow gloves. TBE is acting like a ****in b1tch right now.

                      http://www.secondsout.com/columns/th.../boxing-gloves

"Cassius split his glove on the seam near the thumb," Angelo Dundee later explained. "Actually, it happened in the first round. I spotted the tear and told him, 'Keep your hand closed.' I didn't want anyone to see it because everything was going our way. Then, at the end of the fourth round, he got nailed. So when he came back to the corner, I helped the split a little, pulled it to the side, and made the referee aware that there was a torn glove."

No back-up gloves were available and, after a brief delay, the fight resumed. " I don't know how much time that got us," Dundee acknowledged. "Maybe a minute, but it was enough. If we hadn't gotten the extra time, I don't know what would have happened. I think Cassius would have made it through, but we don't have to answer that question."
If an unfair practice is being repeated from those times...does that make it fair/alright for current fighters to do the same?

If Usain Bolt forced all of his opponents to start the race 2 seconds after he crosses the start line would that be fair? I'm sure Floyd fans think it would be fair since Usain is A side & has worked his azz off to reach the pinnacle.

The sport needs regulations, there are bodies in the sport but none of them are regulating anything.
