In each of those fights, the losing fighter is a proven superstar with (excluding Hamed) titles in more than one dimension.

No WAY does this compare to those wins in terms of merit.

This is on par with Margarito beating Cintron, or Wlad beating Peter.

Lacy is a good fighter, but he'd had 21 pro fights, and didn't have a win over another A class fighter.

The perspective that was missing was the Lacy buildup before the fight not after-I have said over and over Jeff was matched perfectly but no one wanted to hear that, just about every American expert had Lacy walking right thru Joe-you just about had to be from across the pond to pick Joe, hell maxboxing had 15 writers predict the fight and 14 of them took Lacy-almost all by KO. (had Lacy of won the boxing world would be abuzz about this guy name godzilla I mean Lacy-he didnt win therefore Joe should be afforded the same luxury)

To compare Lacy to Cintron and Peter is so easy today on Sunday night-so ****ing easy, Im betting you would not have said the same thing yesterday around 5PM-Lacy compared to Cintron and Peter-this is the definition of monday morning quarterbacking.

Now, with regards to the fights I mentioned, Im talking about the fashion in which Joe won...it was as dominating a performance as you will ever see...is Jeff Lacy a bigger name then James Toney...**** no, but not my point...my point was Joe C put on a better clinic/beating and he did.

That's a valid point, but not in regards to boosting Calzaghe's pound for pound status as high as some here think is a given.

It's fair to say the way that fight played out was more dominating than Hopkins vs Tito, Shane vs Oscar, Manny vs Barrera,

but regardless of it being before or after the fight, Jeff Lacy isn't and wasn't on the same level as those names.

That's because those names were pound for pound elite, something Lacy wasn't (yet).

Thus Calzaghe, who hasn't done anything significant in years (or maybe ever) prior to this fight,

does NOT get boosted to the top 5 pound for pound.
