Definitely not an easy fight for either. Hope Canelo can put a monkey wrench in Mayweather's Cinco de Mayo plans. If Canelo beats Kirkland in spectacular fashion, then signs in to fight Cotto, unless Mayweather fights Pac, there isn't any opponent you can put him in that would beat a Canelo/Cotto fight.
Hope the Canelo/Kirkland fight is in San Antonio, wouldn't mind driving down there to watch it.

The fight could even be a hellish war for most of the fight until the ref stops it. If you think Canelo is going to walk right through Kirkland, I envied you to watch Canelo vs Josesito Lopez, took some time for Canelo with all his "power" to stop him.
I think Canelo wins a hard fight. But I believe Cotto is the real winner here, because if this fight happens, the potential damage Canelo could take even in a win will be costly come May.

Props to Canelo for taking on a tough guy who is not PPV material....shows he is a true Mexican warrior.
However....
This will be Kirkland's night. He is going to beat down Alvarez in a shocking manner. You read it here first. Within three rounds. This will be a war like Hagler-Hearns.

I don't understand why people keep repeating the lie, thinking Kirkland had a legit reason for rejecting the fight the first time. He didn't.
I doubt he takes the fight now.Last edited by JJRod; 08-07-2014, 10:19 PM.
