Will be a fun one while it last. Definitely not PPV worthy. But I'd drop a 20 at the theater. This has been Oscar's target for Nelo for awhile. But personally, I think it's a bad style match-up for Nelo. Nelo ain't real hard to hit.And Kirkland hits like a f.uckin' mule. I've never liked putting "star" fighters that get hit in with lesser fighters that have legitimate game changing power. Gonzalez-Mares comes to mind.

yea but anybody that watches angulo fights knows his punch output nearly doubles in those last two rounds.

He threw 100 punches in round 8, so he would've thrown 200 in the last two rounds?

I say earlier than that. Kirkland usually gets into his mode like rounds 3 or 4. Canelo needs to finish him early, if not hes gonna lose... unless he gets another gift from the judges. Thats my only problem with canelo, gift gift gift. Ridiculous score card gifts even in the mayweather fight. A draw???? thats laughable.

do you guys have any idea how exciting this fight will be? canelo isn't going to run. he doesn't have the footspeed to do that. he's going to slow kirkland's roll by hitting that chin with power punches.

canelo will take shots, and maybe even get hurt. kirkland's poor chin will ultimately let him down, but i am confident that his handspeed and pressure will allow him to land on alvarez, and perhaps even back him up.


kirkland should have been in several classics already. his fight with angulo was a classic. it sucks that his career was so f#cked up. the dude was mental.
